The Rock N’ Roll Collective is a powerhouse group of exceptionally talented young musicians between the ages of 12 and 18. Designed for students who have outgrown traditional music education programs like School of Rock, the Collective offers a professional-level environment where emerging artists can develop their craft and gain real-world performance experience.

Founded by veteran audio engineer and producer Jeremy Gerard, the Collective is music-directed by renowned industry professionals Rachel Z Hakim, Omar Hakim and Mike Pellegrino.

Many Collective members have performed on multiple U.S. and European tours performing on major stages across the US and Europe. In Summer 2025 alone, many members completed US and European tours with Frank Zappa alumni and embarked on a separate European tour with Gibby Haynes of the Butthole Surfers.

A long-dormant cinematic work born during the golden era of large-scale television documentary production has been re-imagined for America’s 250th anniversary.

Progressive rock pioneers Happy the Man have been recording and developing Fourth of July: An American Suite, a large-scale musical work composed by Ron Riddle — originally created in the 2000s during Riddle’s years scoring television for Discovery Channel and TLC.

The music traces its origins to the landmark Houston fireworks spectacular featured in the television series Detonators, where Riddle served as composer for the series. At the time, the Houston event was widely recognized as one of the largest fireworks productions in America, combining massive pyrotechnic displays with live-event drama on an enormous scale.

Written to accompany both the spectacle and the emotional tension behind the production itself, the music moved fluidly between progressive rock, orchestral passages, cinematic Americana, and rhythmically driven soundtrack composition.

Several of the progressive sections were originally conceived with the musical language and adventurous spirit of Happy the Man in mind — making the current collaboration feel less like a reunion and more like the completion of a decades-long musical arc.

“This project feels strangely inevitable,” says Riddle. “The original piece already carried the DNA of Happy the Man inside it. What’s exciting now is hearing those ideas finally realized by the musicians who inspired that side of the writing in the first place.” The recording features a nucleus of original Happy the Man members who have continued collaborating musically in recent years, including bassist Rick Kennell, and guitarist Stanley Whitaker. Mixed and mastered by Rick Kennell in his innermost studios, the tracks were all recorded in their own studios.

There are two versions of the single: the Full version which will include a tension building orchestral prelude and the Fireworks version.  Rather than revisiting past material, Fourth of July: An American Suite aims to push forward — combining the compositional ambition of classic progressive rock with cinematic storytelling, modern production, and a distinctly American emotional landscape.

Fourth of July: An American Suite releases today, Monday June 29, 2026 and is being developed in conjunction with Invasion Merch as part of the celebration with America’s 250th anniversary. It is available on all your favorite download and streaming music outlets.

Track Feature: The Song Gardeners - Believe In Yourself

The Song Gardeners Believe In Yourself

The Song Gardeners plant another musical seed with their most recent track, “Believe In Yourself.” The duo of Corrie Dunn and Mary Gospe once again stepped up, shedding light on the human spirit through their music. The track features an upbeat message and matching music.

Additionally, James Butler provides drums, percussion, bass, and keyboards. And David Scheibner returns to produce, mix, and master the recording. The composition was written by Mary Gospe and David Scheibner.

There is a pop-oriented sound from the keyboard layers, with the bass providing a steady rhythm and undercurrent as a focus. It was like that one instrument was the electricity that turned the lights on, and everything fell right into place.

Corrie and Mary combine their vocals to keep in sync with the music’s flow. Their voices create a reassuring tone as they deliver their thoughtful lyrics.

Mary and Corrie met 20 years ago in Los Altos, CA, when their sons attended kindergarten together. They quickly became friends with a shared passion for music and organic gardening. Several years ago, they took songwriting classes together at their local junior college.

In 2019, Mary was in a cover band and needed a substitute keyboard player. She called Corrie, who agreed to play keys and sing at a few of their gigs. Mary and Corrie realized how special it was when they harmonized together.

Shortly thereafter, Mary was invited to perform a three-hour solo at a local venue and asked Corrie to join her. The two had so much fun that they decided to form their own band, focusing on performing their original material. Avid organic gardeners, they each independently came up with the name “The Song Gardeners,” and the band was born.

Rising singer-songwriter Alyssa Gallarneau has released her debut album ‘For The Record’, available now worldwide, the album explores themes of love, faith, longing and self-discovery.

‘For The Record’ is a poignant and personal release, that soars with cinematic soundscapes and heartfelt storytelling charm. The first single, “Love Business (Sha-Boom),” released in February, quickly became a viral success, amassing more than 2.5 million views on TikTok. The track reached download charts in several countries and earned strong support from Apple Music, who added it to four of their flagship editorial playlists; Today’s Hits, New in Pop, Future Hits and New Music Daily. “SoHo” followed in March, a stylish pop song which also racked up nearly 1 million views on TikTok. The catchy ballad “Consider This The End” was the third offering from the album in May.

The album began in 2025 after acclaimed artist Mark Morrison introduced Alyssa to renowned UK producer Ian Barter, who has previously worked with the likes of Amy Winehouse, Paloma Faith, and Dermot Kennedy. Following an immediate creative connection, Alyssa travelled to London twice to record ‘For The Record’ in Barter's personal garden studio, with the pair bonding over their shared faith throughout the process.

The albums lead single “I Don’t Want To Think About You” is a heartbreak anthem that unfolds in the final moments before departure, when loving someone isn't enough to stop them from leaving. An aviation themed pop song about the push-and-pull of leaving someone you still love. Inspired by life on tour and her time recording in London, Gallarneau co-wrote the song with her sister Brittany Gallarneau, a pilot who recently joined American Airlines. The song draws on Alyssa's lifelong connection to aviation, having grown up in a family of pilots, while the songwriting partnership between the sisters brings an added personal dimension to the track. Their shared love of music and aviation has already intersected professionally, with Envoy Air previously featuring "SoHo" across its platforms alongside appearances from both Alyssa and Brittany. "We were inspired by the push and pull dynamic of not wanting to think about the person you can't stop thinking about," she says. "It's the song you listen to as your flight takes off, except the person you wanted to show up for you arrives at the gate too late."

A native of Chicago, Illinois, Alyssa Gallarneau has appeared on stages including Milwaukee Summerfest, House of Blues Chicago, New York Fashion Week, The Now Arena, Joe's on Weed St. Chicago, and The Bluebird. Tu-Ner Featuring King Crimson Members To Release Live Album “Rendezvous Rodeo” and Announce US Tour Dates

Tu-Ner — This trio of multi-Grammy nominated, multi-gold and platinum recording artists bring you their third and latest release, Rendezvous Rodeo, out July 24 on 7d Media with summer tour dates.

Tu-Ner is a made up of three veterans of the electronic-rock avant-garde: Markus Reuter, a German-born touch style guitarist and composer with a prolific solo career and known for his work with Stick Men; Pat Mastelotto, the hybrid acoustic-electric drummer who has been a cornerstone of King Crimson since 1994; and Trey Gunn, the Warr Guitar innovator who spent a decade as a key member of King Crimson and has since built a bold path as a solo artist and co-owner of 7d Media Records.

Rendezvous Rodeo was recorded live at The Stone Church in Brattleboro, Vermont on August 15, 2025. Longtime Crimson faithful will find deep rewards here, as several tracks reimagine classic King Crimson pieces through Tu-Ner's distinctive lens. Pat Mastelotto – Very rarely does a drummer go on to forge a successful career after the demise of their former hit band. Phil Collins and Dave Grohl have managed it, and so too has Pat Mastelotto – post his work with Mr. Mister. Growing up in Northern California before relocating to Los Angeles as a top-call player, Mastelotto has always pushed the envelope of electro-acoustic drumming. He has spent a lifetime jumping genres from pop to prog to electronica to world music with Mr. Mister, XTC, David Sylvian, The Rembrandts, Kimmo Pohjonen and for the last 25 years with King Crimson and Stick Men.

Markus Reuter – Composer, guitarist, and producer. He began his musical journey as a composer before delving into Robert Fripp’s Guitar Craft, exploring the Chapman Stick, and eventually transitioning to is own designed U8 Touch Guitar. Reuter has released numerous solo albums and has collaborated extensively with Anchor and Burden, Europa String Choir, Gary Husband, Robert Rich, J. Peter Schwalm, Ian Boddy, Mark Wingfield, and was featured in Devin Townsend’s touring band. He also performs in power trios including Stick Men with Pat Mastelotto and Tony Levin, TRUCE with Asaf Sirkis and Fabio Trentini, and Markus Reuter/Tim Motzer/Kenny Grohowski.

Trey Gunn – The extraordinary musician and Warr guitarist has left an indelible mark on the world of progressive music. John Ford’s 50+ year career has traversed psychedelia with Elmer Gantry’s Velvet Opera, progressive folk with The Strawbs, eclectic rock with Hudson-Ford, punky new wave with The Monks, and even ’30s-style music hall with High Society. An Englishman in New York since the mid-’80s, Ford launched a solo career spotlighting his melodic gifts and multi-instrumental prowess in power pop and acoustic-based rock settings. For his latest album, the eternally youthful John Ford presents Between a Rock and a Hard Place, a lyrically reflective and musically energetic set.

“As a songwriter the subconscious can bring forth ideas that you may not even be thinking of day to day, but looking back on stages in my life, songs like ‘The Last Goodnight’ and ‘Lilacs and Hollyhocks’ certainly reflect that,” Ford comments. “I think everyone at some point in their lives have been between a rock and a hard place.”

John Ford seamlessly integrates two cover songs into Between a Rock and a Hard Place, including the album’s first single, the Tom Petty-written “Walls.” Ford: “Somehow, even though a great Tom Petty fan, I had never heard his ‘Walls’ song until I heard the Glen Campbell version on the radio. I thought, I can do a decent job with that.” The album’s second non-original is a deep cut from another legend: “George Harrison’s album Brainwashed had some great songs on it, and I hope I did ‘The Rising Sun’ justice.” Uniting Petty, Harrison, and Ford is their mutual love for Jeff Lynne’s productions, an influence heard throughout Between a Rock and a Hard Place.

John Ford has been an on-and-off member of The Strawbs since writing and singing the band’s biggest hit, 1973’s “Part of the Union.” He rejoined the Dave Cousins-founded Strawbs for the band’s final two albums in 2021 and 2023 before founder and leader Dave Cousins’ passing in 2025. “I dedicated this album to Dave Cousins because I was working with him and Blue Weaver right up to the time he was hospitalized. Dave and I had co-written songs on the last two Strawbs albums and I did send him ‘Lilacs and Hollyhocks’ for verses but had to finish the lyrics myself. We had our ups and downs over the years, but we fortunately ended on a good note.”

Between a Rock and a Hard Place is John Ford’s first solo album to be released through traditional, worldwide physical retail distribution. The CD format includes an exclusive bonus disc of 21 career highlights, introducing fans to songs they might have missed from Ford’s self-released albums. “I signed on to Iconoclassic Records because they surprisingly had a great knowledge of my previous work and suggested we have a best of bonus CD with my new release.”

As a songwriter, Palumbo has a gift for turning complex ideas into memorable music. “Icemen” addresses one of 2026’s most contentious issues. “I’m not a white man. I am a brown man. That used to be okay. But not today. Here they come. They’re coming for me,” Palumbo intones. The arrangement creates an atmosphere of tension and urgency that perfectly complements the song’s themes. Released as the first single from R U SCIENCE?, the “Icemen” lyric video has already been viewed 10K times on YouTube. Immigration topics return on “Big House,” written from three perspectives: a human smuggler, a migrant, and an ICE officer.

The album’s closing track is entitled “I Catch Fire.” Indeed, Palumbo may take heat from his more conservative fans. But John Palumbo refuses to play it safe. His songs have always been stories about obsession, belief, power, and the quiet damage people do to themselves and each other.

Simultaneously released is John Palumbo’s novel, Swimming The Cleveland Ocean. As a novelist, Palumbo brings that same unflinching eye to the page. His fiction is dark, psychological and often unsettling, driven by characters who live just beyond the edge of comfort and control. The wit remains, but the melody is stripped away, leaving something rawer and harder to escape. The move from music to prose is not a departure, but an expansion. Songwriter, singer and multi-instrumentalist John Palumbo has led progressive rock band Crack The Sky for over 50 years. The band’s self-titled first album was declared 1975’s debut album of the year by Rolling Stone and ranked as one of Rolling Stone‘s 50 Greatest Prog Rock Albums in 2015. Major success was predicted for Crack The Sky. But due to persistent record label issues, the band never achieved a national breakthrough. Yet their popularity exploded in Baltimore, where Crack The Sky is acclaimed as The Beatles of Baltimore. Throughout Crack The Sky’s existence, John Palumbo’s quirky, edgy, smart songwriting proved constant as the band explored a diverse variety of sounds and styles.

Palumbo launched a parallel solo career in 1978 and nearly scored a hit with 1985’s “Blowing Up Detroit” (later covered by Charlie Sexton). He simultaneously began a songwriting partnership with Donnie Purnell of glam metal band Kix, co-writing the band’s Top 10 power ballad, “Don’t Close Your Eyes.” In the ’90s he produced chart topping dance remixes for Yoko Ono and embarked on a wide variety of side projects including Cruel Shoes, Dogboy, Feed da Cat, and the Precious Brothers, while regularly recording and performing with Crack The Sky.

The album features Dave Berger on drums and Jay Brunka on bass. As the grooves are hitting, Brian improvises over the top of them using a modern free rhythmic approach to guitar soloing. Brian's rocking metallic guitar tone brings the listener on a fun and raw guitar solo journey as it floats over the grooves. He improvises solos within the structure of the tunes, supported by the warm bass sound and sharp pop of the drums.

Spanning solo recordings, duets with Dave Swarbrick, work alongside daughter Eliza Carthy and performances with seminal groups including Steeleye Span,  The Albion Country Band, Brass Monkeys, The Watersons and Waterson / Carthy, theset presents an unparalleled alternative history of one of Britain’s defining musical voices.

From Virtuosity to Emotion: Exploring the Lush Layers of Wayne Bethanis’s Newest Single, “Happy The Man.”

Wayne Bethanis has received countless awards and accolades and has achieved many top-performing albums and singles on charts and radio stations around the world.

“Happy The Man” is a special single released on May 22nd. It is a piano-based contemporary instrumental track. It is also a song by the progressive rock band Genesis, released as a single in 1972. Additionally, there is a band named Happy the Man, formed in 1973, known for its progressive rock. However, Wayne’s impressive version of that title was written by Sebastian Temple, a spiritual folk singer in the 60s and 70s.

The piano has a classical foundation that evolves into a rhythmic, atmospheric piece. There are synths and orchestration that give it a lush layer as Wayne transitions from uplifting, vibrant strokes on the keys to a glorious crescendo, then closes out softly and gently.

Out of this open dynamic, guitarist and composer Daniel Reyes Llinás gathers a new ensemble together with violinist Madeline Hocking, violist Hannah Selin and cellist Clara Cho. Through frictions and suspensions, the quartet gradually unfolds luminous spaces, where each element redefines and supports the balance of the others. New York City, NY - Internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter Jann Klose officially releases his ambitious new studio album The Future Trap today, delivering a deeply immersive listening experience that blends cinematic storytelling with a richly layered sonic journey.

Far more than a traditional collection of songs, The Future Trap was conceived as a full concept album, with interconnected themes and musical transitions designed to pull listeners into the emotional world of its central character — a figure who is equal parts fictional creation and reflection of the human experience itself.

“The Future Trap explores the universal struggle of falling into familiar patterns,” explains Jann Klose. “We wrote most of the music with the idea of creating a concept album, creating transitions between songs. I didn’t want it to be just another collection of tracks but rather a listening experience tied to storytelling.”

That storytelling forms the emotional backbone of the record, following a protagonist through obsession, joy, love, pain, loss, renewal, and ultimately acceptance. “The character we created is a bit like me but also a bit like everyone else,” says Klose. “Very flawed, very human.”

To bring the project to life, Klose collaborated closely with producer and songwriter Marcus Dembinski, alongside acclaimed musical contributors including Everett Bradley (current member of Bon Jovi), Marcella Detroit of Shakespears Sister and Eric Clapton fame, Alphonso Horne (Late Show with Stephen Colbert), Rachel Flowers, Annie Haslam of Renaissance and South Africa’s own DJ Cosher.

“‘Show Me Who You Are’ is the first song I worked on with Jann when he started the new album,” says Everett Bradley. “We unconsciously started from a place of complete honesty, sharing our take on the state of the world, and what we thought would make it better. Our concept? What if everyone took off the disguise, showed who they really are, allow themselves to be drenched in honesty, and watch the magic begin.”

This sentiment further reinforces the emotional core of The Future Trap, an album rooted in vulnerability, self-reflection, and the search for genuine human connection in an increasingly complicated world.

Released alongside the album announcement in April, the title track “Future Trap” offered audiences an early glimpse into the project’s creative depth. The single stands as a unique artistic collaboration between Klose and Dembinski, with the pair co-writing, co-producing, and performing every instrument heard on the final recording.

According to Dembinski, The Future Trap marks a significant evolution in Klose’s artistry.

“Compositionally, The Future Trap is unlike any of Jann’s previous records,” says Dembinski. “While Jann and his collaborators have pulled inspiration from their unique musical histories, Jann has also simultaneously crafted a narrative through-line that takes the listener on an introspective journey.”

That journey unfolds across a genre-defying soundscape that combines Klose’s signature pop vocals and acoustic guitar with elements of rock, folk, electronic, disco, Latin music, orchestral arrangements, and progressive rock influences.

“The continuity of themes and lyrical motifs creates an enveloping listening experience from start to finish,” adds Dembinski.

Songs seamlessly evolve into one another throughout the album, allowing The Future Trap to unfold like a film soundtrack or theatrical production. The electronic disco pulse of “Love Is a Verb” fractures and rebuilds within “Conjugation,” while the progressive rock energy of “The Lost Kingdom” dissolves into the melancholic atmosphere of “Vignette.” The epic-rock finale “Over and Over” then transitions into a sweeping orchestral “Outro,” reinforcing the album’s cyclical themes of transformation and rebirth.

With The Future Trap, Jann Klose delivers his most sonically adventurous and emotionally resonant body of work to date - a record designed not only to be heard, but experienced.
