San Francisco, CA – HIGHEST INTENTION is a vintage Roots Reggae Revival band that hails from the San Francisco Bay Area. Their sound is locally grounded and globally appealing, bringing to mind artists like Sublime, 311, and even Bob Marley. Their highly anticipated debut album UNIVERSAL LIGHT will release March 22, 2019 worldwide in stores and online. This stunning debut is a solid release that honors the tradition of Jamaican Roots music while also forging its own brand of progressive Reggae for the new millennium.

UNIVERSAL LIGHT features guest producer Ces-One (J-Boog) and guest musicians Raleigh Neal (Michael Franti), Paul Wolstencroft (Slightly Stoopid), Toho Saunders (President Brown), and many more. Lead singer Karim Israel (Arise Roots) features on the song “Morning Light,” and KBong (Stick Figure) laid down piano on a tune! Describing the first single and title track of the album, Kristy Rose of Top Shelf Reggae says, “Blending traditional reggae sounds with jazzy elements, “Universal Light” is so much more than a song – it's a social statement.” Additional singles “Sky” and “Fat One” will be releasing to radio ahead of the album’s release.

Formed in 2012 by guitar player and singer Ben “Down” Lowe, HIGHEST INTENTION has performed alongside countless Reggae greats and established themselves as a local favorite, conveying a message of love and unity with a clean and fundamentally modern Roots Reggae sound. Ben Lowe says, “The idea behind Highest Intention is to make music that can heal people and make them feel better, and that’s the highest intention for music I can think of. Our music aims to be clean, natural, fluid and graceful.” Highest Intention combines unique and thoughtful songwriting with heavy one drop beats, deep intoxicating bass lines, live horns, and vintage dub style effects featuring sound man Aaron Dahl (M.I.A., Wiz Khalifa), who is arguably the only true apprentice to dub legend Scientist aka Hopeton Brown. The band name “Highest Intention” was conceived by Judah at the Black Spot in Santa Cruz, CA.

Ben Lowe has had many of his own songs broadcast nationally on ABC Television and on shows such as The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and has produced Reggae music for numerous TV networks including Bravo, ABC, and MTV. As a singer and guitar player, he credits the Stepping Razor, Peter Tosh, Culture, and Burning Spear as musical influences, and has backed some of Jamaica’s best-known artists – including Cornell Campbell and Andrew Tosh. Ben Lowe originally founded the hit underground Reggae band Free Energy while attending UC Santa Cruz, and during his tenure with the band he shared the stage with the likes of Steel Pulse, Morgan Heritage, the Marley Brothers, and Culture, to name just a few.

Exit North's Debut Album "Book of Romance and Dust" Feat. Japan's Steve Jansen Now Available In US On Inner Knot Records

An uncompromising debut album that explores the collective psyches and diverse influences of its renowned members. The focus is on songcraft that seamlessly combines genres and lyrical perspectives that shift between shadows and light. Exit North is a new quartet featuring Japan co-founder Steve Jansen, Thomas Feiner, Ulf Jansson, and Charlie Storm. A co-writing partnership first formed when Feiner worked with Jansen on his solo albums “Slope” (2007). In 2014 they enlisted Ulf Jansson and Charles Storm to form Exit North. Over a 4-year collaborative timeline, Steve Jansen, Charlie Storm and Thomas Feiner have contributed in multiinstrumentalist capacities and Ulf Jansson has focused on piano and keyboards. All the instruments one associates with the world of rock are involved, but employed within an eclectic mindset. The recording also features trumpet, harmonium and a string quintet. Legendary jazz bassist Lars Danielsson contributes upright bass. Feiner's deep, rich vocals are vivid and emotional. They pair perfectly with the recording's spectral qualities, incorporating the ambient and orchestral, the meditative and kinetic. The album is one that rewards repeated engagement. Full of layers and complex lyrical turns of phrase, the record requires an investment to absorb. It also includes an instrumental in North that finds Jansson conveying melodic intrigue in the absence of a voice.



“The group has a patience and attention to detail that I find rare to come across these days,” said Jansen. “Most people want to rush the process and find the nuggets as quickly as possible, but the years spent on this album have been well worth it. The recording reflects a constant pursuit for the best we can achieve without a concern for the time it takes. This type of music is timeless, so there is no bandwagon to rush towards. We each have great attention to detail and a determination to avoid superfluous musical and lyrical content. We wanted to dig deep and express our connections with music and make the type of album we felt represented a culmination of our years of experience.”

A co-writing partnership first formed when Feiner worked with Jansen on his 2007 solo album “Slope.” Jansen sensed a kindred spirit and pursued a long-term working relationship. Feiner was already partnering with Jansson on other projects and brought him into the fold. The trio officially planted the seeds for a new group. Feiner then realised the potential of inviting renowned Swedish producer and engineer Charles Storm to join the group. The two met years earlier at a Jansen performance in Stockholm, so Feiner was aware of Storm's appreciation for Jansen's previous output. They also had a mutual friend in Jansson. Everyone felt a sense of trust, shared experiences and camaraderie that informed their sessions.

“The creative process for us is successful because we can communicate progress in composition and structure without being too precious about personal choices,” said Jansen. “The tracks have been through a number of changes and this process of raising the bar was only achieved by never resting on our laurels or believing one person's own way is the best way. It's truly a collaborative band in that sense. It's why we credit all the music to the entire group.”

Chaos and confusion reign as fighting for basic resources continuously escalates. “Day Zero” has occurred, when nuclear attacks punctuated what had for many years been a civility between nations and people. As Earth rejects life, those of us who remain struggle to survive.



“Escape The Maze” is the first installment in an evolving saga that addresses the challenges of mankind in our coming era. It depicts the role of a changing planet, and the potential, as well as limitations, of technology to help solve mankind’s greatest challenges. The story of “Origin Of Species” is represented through music, graphic storytelling and videos.

A complex project that’s eschews the hollow immediacy of much contemporary art. A narrative that demands attention and imagination. With music sweeping in scope, at times evoking hard rock virtuoso shredding, alongside grand orchestral compositions, warm harmonies and soaring choruses.

The music seeks to capture the listener in the spirit of the greatest concept albums that have helped to define the history of rock. Heavy riffs and killer grooves lead way to delicate ensembles, only to pick up the pace again with searing guitar solos. The genre is decisively Prog Rock, but DarWin begs to be appreciated by a large global audience of music enthusiasts. Veteran bass player and singer Matt Bissonette performed a rich array of lead and background vocals and bass. DarWin himself drove the songwriting and conceptual vision while playing various guitars.

The album features guest performances from the likes of Jeff Babko (keyboards and quartet arrangements), Greg Howe (blazing lead guitar solos), Dennis Hamm (keyboards), Ernst Tibbs (bass), Katisse Buckingham (Flute, Soprano Sax), Samuel Sim and Peter Nickalls (orchestral and quartet arrangements), The Origin of Species Quartet (Los Angeles), The Reykjavik String Quartet (Iceland), and The Chamber Orchestra Of London (Conductor Matt Dunkley)

The music seeks to capture the listener in the spirit of the greatest concept albums that have helped to define the history of rock. Heavy riffs and killer grooves lead way to delicate ensembles, only to pick up the pace again with searing guitar solos. The genre is decisively Prog Rock, but DarWin begs to be appreciated by a large global audience of music enthusiasts. The “Origin Of Species” album features legendary drummer and producer Simon Phillips, who, in addition to playing drums, percussion and keyboards, also engineered, mixed and drove the production on the album. Veteran bass player and singer Matt Bissonette performed a rich array of lead and background vocals and bass. DarWin himself drove the songwriting and conceptual vision while playing various guitars.

The album features guest performances from the likes of Jeff Babko (keyboards and quartet arrangements), Greg Howe (blazing lead guitar solos), Dennis Hamm (keyboards), Ernst Tibbs (bass), Katisse Buckingham (Flute, Soprano Sax), Samuel Sim and Peter Nickalls (orchestral and quartet arrangements), The Origin of Species Quartet (Los Angeles), The Reykjavik String Quartet (Iceland), and The Chamber Orchestra Of London (Conductor Matt Dunkley)

The album was recorded at Simon Phillip’s Phantom Recordings, Sherman Oaks, CA, with additional recording at Abbey Road Studios (Studio 2, the “Beatles Room”), London, United Kingdom, Sundlaugin Studio in Reykjavik, Iceland, The Doghouse, Woodland Hills, CA, Rose Lane Studios, Carpenteria, CA, and Megatrax, Ventura, CA.

The album was produced by DarWin and Simon Phillips. They are continuing to work on new music together at an undisclosed location. The saga will continue...

Experimental beyond expectations, HOIA is an infusion of musical interests by Prateek Rajagopal. Popularly known for being a virtuoso guitarist, budding film composer and writer/producer for death metal legions  “GUTSLIT” & Indian/Amercian prog metal supergroup  “The Minerva Conduct,” his interest in genres and art forms beyond metal gave rise to HOIA, inspired by Avant-garde, progressive rock, experimental and industrial music.

After releasing two EPs with HOIA, Prateek is all set to release his debut album titled “Scavenger.” The record has a more sophisticated songwriting approach compared to his previous releases, albeit still very 'prog,' and also features Prateek as a vocalist for the first time. The instruments used on the album are unlike his other projects, using samples of rotating fans and vehicle sounds, analog synthesizers and digital manipulation along with organic instruments like guitars (acoustic, electric), piano and strings.

Says Prateek, “The album deals with human-sentimentality concepts like nostalgia, demise, anxiety and the need to 'scavenge' to survive, bubbled in fictitious concepts as individual stories. It isn't a concept album, but there's a loose relation across the individual stories.”



Although he is the primary songwriter, Prateek approached Colin Edwin of "Porcupine Tree" & Wojtek Deregowski (a reputed session musician from Poland) to perform bass and drums respectively.

“In a world full of guitarists, I am lucky enough to somehow work with a steady flow of really interesting and unique players, so I am very happy to be involved with Prateek Rajagopal's new HOIA album, a solid collection of inspiring tracks across an ever-evolving deep sonic landscape. “Even though I know all the tunes from the new HOIA album really well, I like to come back and listen to them again. It’s just a very good music in which you may always find something new that surprises and catches your attention. Fresh sounds, a lot of space and emotions at the same time. However, writing them as stories felt natural and subtle, and thinking about characters/plots made the process very enjoyable. I hope that people understand the metaphors and Easter eggs too, since everyone goes through similar human emotions. So if people relate with the stories, they might feel better and less lonely, and in turn feel hopeful about life and this world.”

O.R.k., featuring Italy's celebrated vocalist, producer and award-winning film score composer Lorenzo Esposito Fornasari a.k.a LEF (lead vocals), King Crimson's Pat Mastelotto (drums), Porcupine Tree's Colin Edwin (bass), Marta Sui Tubi's Carmelo Pipitone (guitars) are ready to reveal the first single “Kneel To Nothing” from their forthcoming new album on Kscope - Ramagehead.

The track “Kneel To Nothing” emphasises the band's bewilderment brought about by our modern world; a world of technological information overload, of uncertainty and post-truth messages. Songwriter Lef explains more “We're not preaching, we'd rather leave the lyrics open to different interpretations, but I guess this is one possible interpretation of the 'Kneel To Nothing' lyrics. 

“As musicians, we collaborate across the miles thanks to the internet, so it goes without saying we aren't against technology in general, but at the same time, it's unarguably clear that the same technology has successfully made its way inside our bodies (and lives) in a potentially dangerous way in the last 20 years.

“How we react to impulses, live our relationships, and feel in general has become deeply influenced by new tech. We all seem to be trying to outdo each other, we can't get enough of this constant competition through social media, and it's making us more insular in real life. We also place an innate trust in the strength of our senses, but in a evolutionary perspective, we could end up diminishing of all our senses due to our evolving lifestyle. We’re becoming too lazy to read an article - let alone a book, too bored to listen to a song that is longer than 3 minutes, and we relentlessly skip from one impulse to another without really feeling anything. In a way we're therefore 'slaves'. It's not as spooky as the visionary movie directors from the past have pictured it, but it's happening in a subtler, yet still potentially hazardous way. We have somehow we've become both devoted and addicted to our smart phones”

The forthcoming album Ramagehead was created from the band's collective vision, unique influences and a multi-layered reflection of their powerful and engaging live experience. The resulting epic contains all the ingredients of a fiery O.R.k. performance with dark and heavy riffing, mesmeric atmospheres. Recorded during 2018 at LefMusicStudio (Italy), The Wormhole (USA) and Nightspace (UK). The mixing for Ramagehead was handled by Adrian Benavides and three-time Grammy-winning engineer Marc Urselli (U2, Foo Fighters, Nick Cave), the mastering by Michael Fossenkemper, engineering by Benavides and Bill Munyon (King Crimson), cover art by Adam Jones (TOOL) and design by Denis Rodier (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman). The recordings, and involvement of SOAD's Serj Tankian on a forthcoming single, solidifies the band's serious intent to use their musical chemistry in exploring the hard-edged possibilities within rock.

O.R.k. Premier "Kneel To Nothing" The Debut Single & Video From New Album "Ramagehead"

O.R.k., featuring Italy's celebrated vocalist, producer and award-winning film score composer Lorenzo Esposito Fornasari a.k.a LEF (lead vocals), King Crimson's Pat Mastelotto (drums), Porcupine Tree's Colin Edwin (bass), Marta Sui Tubi's Carmelo Pipitone (guitars) are ready to reveal the first single “Kneel To Nothing” from their forthcoming new album on Kscope - Ramagehead.

The track “Kneel To Nothing” emphasises the band's bewilderment brought about by our modern world; a world of technological information overload, of uncertainty and post-truth messages. Songwriter Lef explains more “We're not preaching, we'd rather leave the lyrics open to different interpretations, but I guess this is one possible interpretation of the 'Kneel To Nothing' lyrics. 

“As musicians, we collaborate across the miles thanks to the internet, so it goes without saying we aren't against technology in general, but at the same time, it's unarguably clear that the same technology has successfully made its way inside our bodies (and lives) in a potentially dangerous way in the last 20 years.

“How we react to impulses, live our relationships, and feel in general has become deeply influenced by new tech. We all seem to be trying to outdo each other, we can't get enough of this constant competition through social media, and it's making us more insular in real life. We also place an innate trust in the strength of our senses, but in a evolutionary perspective, we could end up diminishing of all our senses due to our evolving lifestyle. We’re becoming too lazy to read an article - let alone a book, too bored to listen to a song that is longer than 3 minutes, and we relentlessly skip from one impulse to another without really feeling anything. In a way we're therefore 'slaves'. It's not as spooky as the visionary movie directors from the past have pictured it, but it's happening in a subtler, yet still potentially hazardous way. We have somehow we've become both devoted and addicted to our smart phones”

The forthcoming album Ramagehead was created from the band's collective vision, unique influences and a multi-layered reflection of their powerful and engaging live experience. The resulting epic contains all the ingredients of a fiery O.R.k. performance with dark and heavy riffing, mesmeric atmospheres. Recorded during 2018 at LefMusicStudio (Italy), The Wormhole (USA) and Nightspace (UK). The mixing for Ramagehead was handled by Adrian Benavides and three-time Grammy-winning engineer Marc Urselli (U2, Foo Fighters, Nick Cave), the mastering by Michael Fossenkemper, engineering by Benavides and Bill Munyon (King Crimson), cover art by Adam Jones (TOOL) and design by Denis Rodier (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman). The recordings, and involvement of SOAD's Serj Tankian on a forthcoming single, solidifies the band's serious intent to use their musical chemistry in exploring the hard-edged possibilities within rock.

Hall & Oates Band Member, Multi-Instrumentalist Eliot Lewis Releases Debut Album "Adventure"

Singer, Songwriter & Multi-instrumentalist Eliot Lewis is a key member of the the Daryl Hall & John Oates band and one of the original featured musicians on MTV's “Live From Daryl's House”

Eliot Lewis is a singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist as well as being a key member of the the Daryl Hall & John Oates band. Eliot is also one of the original featured musicians on MTV's “Live From Daryl's House.” His contributions stand out on some of the best moments from the show including performances with Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Joe Walsh, Todd Rundgren,Train, Grace Potter, Ben Folds, Booker T, Jewel, Rob Thomas, Keb Mo, Jason Mraz, Darius Rucker, Gavin DeGraw and many, many others. Earlier in his career Eliot spent several years as a key member of the The Average White Band. Eliot toured, wrote and also produced several songs for the Scottish soul band.

In 2016 Eliot signed an exclusive recording partnership with The SoNo Recording Group. His first release, entitled “Adventure,” is a collection of eleven new recordings; ten originals written, performed, and produced by Eliot and one cover of the Bad Company classic, “Ready For Love.”

Says Eliot, “My goal with this record is to try to present a record that comes from the place that first inspired me, the kind of classic stripped down rock & soul before all the slick production with auto tuning became so common place”

Having mastered four instruments over the course of his career; guitar, keyboard, bass and drums, Eliot Lewis blazed his own trail as a solo artist sharing his distinctive brand of rock & soul through solo releases and hundreds of solo tour dates all over the world. Eliot's songs come from the inside out. “I think the main inspiration for any of my records is to convey these little slices of life, most of my songs are written about my own experiences and situations”.

There are many who shaped Eliot's music and writing. “As a guitar player, definitely Jeff Beck who I've been listening to all my life, as well as Billy Gibbons who I had the great fortune of working with recently, and Peter Frampton who I actually jammed with when I was 14 yrs old. I had the amazing experience of meeting and seeing many influential artists when I was a kid mainly at Madison Square Garden in New York City. A place I just played with Hall & Oates which was a lifetime dream. One of the first writers to inspire me to write songs was Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick, another favorite band of mine that I just worked with on Live From Daryl's House.”

Along with recording a select set of episodes for “Live From Daryl's House,” Eliot is currently working on his next album slated for release the first half of 2019, along with a tour. “An Evening with Multi Instrumentalist Eliot Lewis” consists of very unique performances where he plays all instruments on stage!

Oakland Power Trio STIMULI to Release Explosive Debut Album THEY ARE WE

Oakland, CA – Bay Area rock band STIMULI create thoughtful and heavy rock music about the human condition, delivered through Jimmy Tomahawk's melodic and edgy vocals and spacious and heavy guitar riffing, Tai Hake's solid and snarling bass tones, and Cole Andrew's intricate and powerful drumming. STIMULI will release their first official full-length album titled THEY ARE WE in stores and online worldwide on August 17, 2018. The album is a winding 11-track explosion of the trio's dense, ambitious, and fiercely original sound.

In April 2018, the band generated buzz when they released their debut single and music video for the album's title track, “They Are We.” The single knocks out a Hard Rock, radio-friendly sound that also exposes the introspective themes of understanding and empathy that permeates their new album. THEY ARE WE was recorded at the idyllic Russian River Studios on the Ingels Ranch in Talmage, California, where Tomahawk and Hake had previously recorded with their band Yeibichai. Ken Ingels, the owner of the studio, was extremely helpful, and they enlisted Andrew Miller to engineer and mix the album, and Mike Wells for mastering. For the artwork and album layout, the trio had their eyes photographed and then overlaid the irises so that the colors merge and overlap, accomplished thanks to the superb talents of Michael Miller at Digital Realm Productions, who brought their vision to life in a way that represents the music on the album exceptionally well.

Not only do STIMULI masterfully rock the traditional power trio format, the band also incorporates synth atmospherics and eclectic instrumentation that is not often associated with contemporary Hard Rock. Bassist Tai Hake also plays Theremin, and their music features Native American flute, sitar, acoustic guitar and ambient synthesizers. Lyrically, STIMULI's themes possess a rare depth - insightful and meaningful, ruminating on personal experiences and reflections about peace, empathy, destiny, and self-actualization. Combined together, STIMULI are a sort of “Thinking Person's Rock Band.”

While all members are of a shared generation, their influences run the gamut. The heavy, tight and polished sound of STIMULI has been compared to Alice in Chains, Black Sabbath, Soundgarden, Tool, Rush, and Nirvana. The individual and collective history of the band is just as varied and multi-faceted as their music. Comprised of seasoned musicians from around the world (drummer Cole Andrew is from Australia), STIMULI is a collage of three very strong-willed personalities who, like most productive collaborations, happen to have chemistry and work well together.

“Our music contains a strong emotional intensity with personal, social, and philosophical messages about the human experience,” explains guitarist/vocalist Jimmy Tomahawk. “Although there is an undeniably serious disposition in the band's message, as individuals, we don't take ourselves very seriously at all - satire, slapstick humor and wisecracks are the norm when we are together. It's a bit of a collective Jekyll & Hyde scenario, really. We try to remind ourselves that the initial spark of passion and the joy of playing music that caused us to pick up our instruments in the first place is why we do this!”

The formation of STIMULI began following the split of Bay Area rock band Yeibichai, the brainchild of Tomahawk and Hake. When Tomahawk came across a video of Cole Andrew demonstrating his powerful and detail-oriented drumming, he reached out and they began to jam. Tomahawk couldn't imagine any other bass player but Tai in the room with the sounds that he and Cole were creating. In 2013, STIMULI opened up shop in their new studio space at the fabled Soundwave Studios in Oakland. It was here that STIMULI became a band and their deep friendship and musical bond was solidified.

In early 2017 STIMULI found themselves at a crossroads. Things suddenly felt new, vivified, and stronger among the three of them, but a glaring question remained: who would be the voice of the band? Jimmy Tomahawk decided then that nothing was going to stop him from fulfilling his original plan as a young teenager of being the vocalist in his own band. With the encouraging support of his bandmates, Tomahawk began to write, and at some point along the way, singing became as fluid and as much of an unconscious operation for Tomahawk as playing guitar. In just a few short months the band was in the studio tracking drums and bass for the new album.

STIMULI feel an unprecedented sense of optimism and joy with the music they are making. The audiences are reciprocating that energy that is conveyed at their live shows with great fervor. With much more to come from this exciting new Bay Area rock band, it would appear that STIMULI are just getting started!
