Following the successful release of his long lost first solo album, Easy With The Heartaches, Peter Goalby’s second solo album I Will Come Runnin’ is finally seeing the light of day.
The 10-track album was personally overseen (from tape transfer, mastering and artwork) by the former Uriah Heep and Trapeze vocalist.
Peter Goalby was the lead singer of Uriah Heep, Trapeze and Fable but has now retired from the music industry after an illustrious career.
Peter Goalby said of the release: “Well, here we go again. Thank you so much for listening to my first solo album Easy With The Heartaches. I hope you will enjoy this collection of my songs written and recorded after I left Uriah Heep. I have included 2 more co-writes as they deserve to be on the album. I put Little Piece Of Heaven at the end of the track list because this was the last song I wrote before walking away from music. Thank you for sticking with me…”
Peter Goalby was the lead singer of Uriah Heep during the band’s classic Abominog era and also wrote their 1980s hit “Blood Red Roses.” He sang on the band’s albums Head First and Equator plus he’s also known for his time in Trapeze. Peter Goalby is now retired from the music industry.
After leaving the band, Peter Goalby recorded a number of solo songs, however, they were left unreleased until now. There has been constant speculation from fans on when they might hear the songs, given it was business reasons that precluded the release of the album at the time, but the way has now been cleared for the music to finally be heard.
The new artwork has been overseen and approved by Peter Goalby and its release has come about thanks to fans persistently pushing to hear these legendary lost recordings.
Peter Goalby said: “Finally, my best songs will be heard. Thirty years on. Never say never. I am so thrilled with my album release. I know I have a lot of friends out there who have wanted this day to arrive for many years. Thank you for sticking with me for all this time. I hope you love 'Easy With The Heartaches' as much as I do. Thank you.”
All the tracks were written by Goalby, except for three tracks co-written with Robin George. The vocal led style will appeal to Uriah Heep and Trapeze fans who have never stopped loving his voice.
Head Machine’s Orgasm Receives Definitive 50th Anniversary Edition Re-Master – OUT NOW!
Head Machine’s Orgasm album was recorded in 1969 and this is the FIRST OFFICIAL RE-RELEASE of the album since 1971. Every other re-release since then has been a counterfeit.
The album features four members of The Gods: Ken Hensley (also of Uriah Heep, credited here as Ken Leslie), Lee Kerslake (also of Uriah Heep, credited here as Lee Poole), John Glascock (also of Jethro Tull, credited here as John Leadhen) and Brian Glascock (credited here as Brian Poole).
This 50th Anniversary Edition has been given a 2020 re-mastering and its better sound quality than any previous edition. The packaging is a 6-panel digipack and the booklet features new liner notes by David Paramor plus exclusive comments from Ken Hensley, Lee Kerslake and Brian Glascock.
Work on this re-release was completed in early 2020, for a May release which was the 50th Anniversary month of it’s first release. The Covid-19 pandemic delayed that plan and then the publicity was held, when Lee Kerslake and then Ken Hensley passed away, to ensure the painstaking work undertaken on this re-release wouldn’t be mistaken for a cash in.
The original producer David Paramor endorsed the re-release saying “This album is a chapter in the history of everyone involved, and in these days of less prudish attitudes, I hope this 50th Anniversary release will bring some of the tracks to a wider audience.“
Trevor Bolder was the bass player in Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars, Wishbone Ash and Uriah Heep, but passed away in 2013. He left behind a solo album which had been mapped out and his friends and family have helped complete it as a labour of love in his memory.
The album features guest appearances by Uriah Heep bandmates Mick Box and Lee Kerslake (who passed away recently) and Wishbone Ash bandmate Laurie Wisefield along with Trevor’s friends.
The artwork on the album is by Ioannis who created the artwork for the last Uriah Heep albums Trevor played on.
Trevor’s widow Shelly Bolder shared these personal comments about the album: “Trevor would have been so proud. It was his dream to produce a solo album which he spent endless hours working so very hard on. Sadly, he did not get to complete this dream. With the magic of friends and family we can all enjoy his beautiful music which can now live on forever. If Trevor were with us, I believe he would have dedicated this to Lee Kerslake who brought so much fun into all our lives.”
The lead vocals on the album are shared between Trevor Bolder and Derk Gallagher who added: “When I heard how far Trevor had got with the album, I knew it had to be finished. His vision for the songs was there, so much was laid out, it just needed his friends and family to help complete it. Trev was with us in every recording session in spirit and this album is part of his legacy.”
The album contains previously unheard titles and Trevor’s own interpretations of tracks he’d given to Uriah Heep to record.
The album has been released on Bolder Records (via Cherry Red) which was named after Trevor’s father’s record shop, in yet another example the album being a family and friends project. The album is available on CD for Christmas 2020 ahead of its release on streaming platforms in early 2021.
London - Uriah Heep’s lead singer Bernie Shaw has been working on a new studio album, in between the band’s tour dates, with his bandmate from the music scene in Victoria, guitarist and songwriter Dale Collins.
The duo has released an EP in Canada, however, it only included some of the songs they’d worked on together and was recorded many years back. This new studio album sees them re-record those tracks afresh, along with the other songs from their collaboration.
The album has Bernie working with same people he’d worked with on recent Uriah Heep projects, including sound engineer Steve Rispin, mastering engineer Mike Pietrini, graphic designer Mike Inns and label/copyrights manager Daniel Earnshaw.
The album is available as a CD, 180gsm LP, Download and on Streaming platforms. The CD is a six panel digipack which matches many of the recent Uriah Heep releases and back catalogue re-releases, so the album will look great sitting alongside the band’s catalogue in a fan’s collection.
An album trailer, introduced by Bernie Shaw, can be seen here:
No-one involved with the project can believe the release date of 13th September 2019 is 6 years to the day that the very first email was sent between them suggesting the project. It’s been a labour of love, with work completed as and when time and schedules allowed.
Of the album Bernie Shaw said: “This album has been a long time in the making as Uriah Heep still occupies almost 200 days of my year! But we’ve done it! l’m very proud of the end result. Working from two sides of the world is not an easy task, but the power and the energy of these songs shine through. I can’t wait for the reaction from both the Heep fans and beyond! Rock on!”
Dale Collins added: “It’s been a long journey to make this album. Thanks to the thousands of fans who have followed the process and corresponded with me throughout. I am very pleased to see it completed.”
This was a double bill that I have waited for months to see. This was also one of many times that I have seen Judas Priest however the first time I had the opportunity to see Uriah Heep.I have been a fan of Uriah Heep since the 70s and have all the early studio releases along with a few when lead singer Bernie Shaw came into the picture. In addition to that, I had just picked up their most recent studio effort and 25th mind you, titled Living The Dream. The album is excellent and their strongest in quite some time. I think they decided to reach back and take some of the elements that made them who they are along with more modern technologies and recording tools to come up with a real winner. And yes, it rocks, making them the perfect opening act for Judas Priest.
Mick Box started the band in 1970, bless his soul. He is the only surviving original member left, and it’s a good thing because they are not UH without him. He looks great with his long white hair and energetic guitar playing, which was from start to finish. He captured the audience immediately and that grew as they made their way through the new and the classic tracks.
Bernie Shaw mentioned how hard it was to go through 50 years of music in one hour but they did a fine job. I would love to see a full-length show with them at some point. I brought one of my friends with me that loves metal and has been following both bands forever like myself and you could not wipe the smile off his face all night, it was a beautiful thing to witness and just as satisfying as the music itself from my own perspective.
Uriah Heep which is a fictional character created by Charles Dickens in his novel David Copperfield. Heep is one of the main antagonists of the novel. His character is notable for his cloying humility, obsequiousness, and insincerity, making frequent references to his own " 'umbleness." So how many of you UH fans remember how that relates to an album title? If you guessed Very 'Eavy... Very 'Umble you are correct! There was a time when I had no clue how all this tied into the name of the band and that book.
While the visit was short with Uriah Heep, it was long enough to know that they are still alive and well and rockin’. It gave me the incentive to catch them live again. I really appreciate how they performed the early rockers “Gypsy,” “Stealin’” and “Look At Yourself.”
So, the standard break started and they prepared the stage for the headliner that everyone was clamoring for. Everyone was chanting “Priest, Priest, Priest.”That is a tradition at the concerts as all fans of the band know. As Rob Halford acknowledged, heavy metal fans and the overall community are the most dedicated group and they could not do what they do without us. It goes both ways Rob and we love the fact that you are still coming out to bring all that great music to us!
The opening song was “Necromancer” from their latest album Firepower. Rob came out in a new outfit for the number. I just had to get a pic of that and include it with this review. It was a great way to kick things off and the audience was pumped and ready for everything that they were going to dish out. I would say this crowd is very enthusiastic and partiers, I being enthusiastic minus all the partying. There was a couple behind me that polished of their share of alcoholic beverages but were still well behaved even though one of them spilled some of their drink on my head and left an empty cup in my seat. I know it sounds comical actually and that is exactly how I took it and carried on with a smile and enjoyed the entire spirit of the evening.
Priest covered some ground, going through their early career to promoting the newest release with some cool videos as a backdrop to their juggernaut two-man tag team guitar players of Richie Faulkner andAndy Sneap. And it goes without saying that the rhythm section of Ian Hill (bass) and Scott Travis (drums) is the foundation of their explosive sound. The two six-string slingers have turned into admirable replacements for the legendary one-two punch of Glen Tipton and K.K. Downing. They are great players and have assimilated the Priest cannon with dedication and fire that has kept things moving right along so we all can still enjoy their studio recordings and live shows.
They saved all the fan favorites for their encore which included, "Hell Bent for Leather," "Breaking the Law" and "Living After Midnight."
With another memorable night in the books, it makes me feel blessed to be alive and able to have the privilege of attending these great live events and provide coverage. Another big thanks to my long-time partners at Chipster PR for providing me the great seats to enjoy last night to the fullest. I was fully drenched in sweat and voicing my approval along with three thousand some fans in attendance. And that enthusiasm continued into the streets after, people were buzzing and chanting all over again.
If you’re looking for a dream come true double header metal concert you need to catch this show!

London, UK – Uriah Heep is pleased to announce the release of a 2CD/1DVD package of their 20th Anniversary show in 1989, which has only been available on VHS previously. This remastered release is now available on Download and as 2 CDs and 1 DVD in all new packaging.
This concert is likely to be the only gap in many committed fans’ collections and gives their core fanbase the opportunity to complete the entire Heep discography. This release is the culmination of a long process to make sure all of the Uriah Heep back catalogue is available in modern day formats and digitally.
The set also includes a bonus audio interview, recorded on the same day as the concert, which was previously only available on picture disc LP and CD for a very limited amount of time.
Of this release, Mick Box said “This is a great meeting of two products, which were always closely linked together, and are now merged into one definitive set. This is the second release on Uriah Heep Records and a great reminder of our 30th Anniversary celebrations!”
The band has also heard fans’ voices and released the first vinyl title on its own label, a picture disc LP called Selections from Totally Driven, which features the stunning artwork of Igor Morski.
The LP draws on tracks from the band’s own label’s first release, Totally Driven, which was a 2 CD collection of re-records of their greatest hits and continues to be available.
Both of these projects are available on Amazon, iTunes and by all good retailers on the band’s own Uriah Heep Records, via Cherry Red.

Easy to see why a band whose young career began with the support and endorsement of Pink Floyd founder Roger Waters, is being hailed as an iconic band in the making with their debut album.
London, UK - Blurred Vision is a 3-piece progressive/psychedelic/pop rock outfit comprised of guitarist & vocalist Sepp Osley, bassist Sohl Osley and drummer Ben Riley. The band's career was launched in 2010, when the endorsement of Pink Floyd founder Roger Waters brought them international acclaim.
Blurred Vision release their debut album 'Organized Insanity' on April 6, signed to a worldwide distribution deal through Cherry Red Records (UK). 'Organized Insanity' reveals personal stories of the modern day culture of relationships and love, while also touching on controversial themes of war, politics, religion, and the state of the music scene today. Produced by multi platinum selling producer Terry Brown, the band's unique style varies from the progressive and psychedelic rock of the 70’s, the mystical and exotic sounds and melodies of the Mid East, to an amalgamation of contemporary and unique new Rock ‘N’ Roll songs with memorable hooks and great pop sensibilities.
Says Sepp, “When we wrote 'Organized Insanity' we knew right away it was a title that would define our debut album. It not only depicted the personal relationships we were in at the time that were inspiring some of the songs on the record, but also the broader more global theme of the struggles our generation faces in our world today. Relationships, Love, war, religion, politics...all formed to make what is the first chapter of our band's musical story.”

The British Rock Legends returns with their classic rock hits “Look At Yourself,” "Gypsy," “Bird of Prey,” “Easy Livin’” and many more! URIAH HEEP is considered one of the ‘Big Four’ pioneers of hard rock and heavy metal in the late ‘60’s and early ‘70’s along with BLACK SABBATH, DEEP PURPLE & LED ZEPPELIN – URIAH HEEP still enjoy legendary status.
London, UK - Lucifer's Friend's self-titled debut of 1970 is a famous album among connoisseurs of 70's hard rock. Its heavy and majestic overtones made it a pioneer release of progressive rock genre.
Lucifer's Friend continued to create classic albums, especially the three subsequent ones – of which no two sound alike.
In 1976 Lucifer's Friend suffered a hard blow when British vocalist John Lawton jumped ship for none other than Uriah Heep. The band broke up in 1982. The band briefly reformed in 1994 for their ninth album “Sumo Grip”. Now they're back, after 20 years, literally by the fans' request…
The band will also be releasing a compilation, AWAKENING, which also includes new original material, via Cherry Red Records in March 2015. At this stage, the CD is available to pre-order via the Cherry Red website ONLY and all fans placing an order prior to the release date will receive an exclusive signed item.
The band will be playing Sweden Rock Festival and the reformation is expected to be one of the most extraordinary highlights of 2015! The band is receiving a variety of offers from around the world and look forward to playing their greatest hits and new material to fans!
Peter Hesslein said: “Over the years I have been asked many times, by all sorts of people, regarding a re-union / re-formation of Lucifer's Friend. As there are currently several international bands releasing cover versions of our old songs and in particular creating a "Hype" about Lucifer's Friend amongst the skateboarder's world-wide, we thought that before it really is too late, to give our fans, especially the younger ones, a chance to experience a part of the founder members of Hard Rock...“
Dieter Horns added: “When I received the first call regarding a re-union of Lucifer's Friend, on the spot I was wide awake and electrified. In recent decades we often discussed the possibility of a restart, made contact with studios and record companies, but now it should finally come true.”
John Lawton then added: “The reformation of Lucifer's Friend has been a long time coming, but we all feel that the time is right…To get back together with the guys with whom I had worked together for so many years and recorded albums that have in many respects stood the test of time, is for me, an upcoming highlight. We’re joined by Yogi Wichman on keyboards, who played on our last album Sumo Grip, but unfortunately the original drummer Addi Rietenbach died many years ago, so we will be introducing drummer Stephan Eggart into the band line-up…”
London, UK - Lucifer's Friend's self-titled debut of 1970 is a famous album among connoisseurs of 70's hard rock.
