Following the release of their latest studio album Dissolution, through Kscope, The Pineapple Thief, one of the leading lights of Europe’s experimental rock domain, announce their new concert album Hold Our Fire captured during their 16-date European headline tour in September 2018. The new album is due for release on 15th November, ahead of their debut North America tour in November / December.

Holding up a mirror to our chaotic, social media-fixated society, Dissolution is a modern masterpiece that pulses with charged emotion – the perfect album for the times. The album earned them their highest UK album chart entry to date at #36 and also #1 in Rock and Metal, as well as reaching #22 in the German album chart, #4 in the Netherlands Platomania album chart and #14 in the Finland album chart.

Hold Our Fire features eight concert performances of Dissolution tracks, including the singles “Far Below”, “Try As I Might”, “Threatening War” & “Uncovering Your Tracks”, as well as “3000 Days” from 2010 studio album Someone Here is Missing with extra guitars from new guitarist George Marios.

The band's virtuoso drummer, also known for his work with Porcupine Tree and King Crimson, Gavin Harrison reveals more about their performances for Hold Our Fire: “I feel this live recording really captures the energy and spirit of the band playing together in front of a great enthusiastic crowd.”

It's a feeling shared by frontman, composer and guitarist Bruce Soord: “It's a great souvenir from such a memorable tour. I am really looking forward to taking the show over to North America in November and mixing the record reminded me just how much fun we have playing live.”

Modern Prog Band District 97 To Tour In Support of New Album Release "Screens"

District 97 “Screens” will be released in the UK/Europe Oct. 4 and North America Oct. 11, 2019

District 97 is undoubtedly the most musically adventurous rock band in the world to feature an American Idol Top 10 Female Finalist. For over a decade, this quintet from Chicago has melded an adventurous instrumental prowess with the look, sound, and stage presence of Leslie Hunt. Through world tours and a stream of studio and live releases, the band has garnered a worldwide fanbase; collaborating with John Wetton and drawing praise from Bill Bruford, Mike Portnoy and other rock luminaries along the way. Their forthcoming album “Screens” and its accompanying live show promises to be their most ambitious effort to date.

Bruce Soord, the multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and frontman for internationally renowned experimental rock outfit The Pineapple Thief, has confirmed the release of his second solo album. Entitled All This Will Be Yours it will be released through Kscope digitally on October 25 and CD / LP on November 1, 2019.

Taking elements from the recent musical developments with The Pineapple Thief, as well as an ambition to experiment with his own sound, All This Will Be Yours is an album of acoustic and personal vision from Bruce Soord. Described by Soord as an observational record, it is inspired by the joy felt by the birth of his third child juxtaposed by the local deprivation in his hometown.

Bruce explains, “Emotionally it was a pretty unique & eventful time, my wife was due to have our 3rd child at any time but she managed to come to see the final date of the TPT tour at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire, after the show that night we returned home to Yeovil and the next day our baby girl arrived. So, we had this new life in our lives and it introduced a very different perspective on the world around me. I was totally inspired and started writing almost immediately.”

He continues, “You’d like to think that something as simple as having a child shouldn’t impact on how you view things, but even the sight of a serene, sleeping baby in my studio while I was writing and recording, impacted on how I was inspired to write. I was still observing. Taking walks in my hometown, witnessing the deprivation, the ‘incarcerated souls’ shuffling to my local drug den ‘number 158’, the screaming children on their commute to school. And the incessant sounds of sirens. I would take a mobile recorder out with me and some of these sounds made it onto the record. The kids, an old man walking along the street singing outside my house (‘Our Gravest Threat Apart’). And the sirens. The sirens appear throughout the record.”

The sound of All This Will Be Yours features modern production elements, as well as acoustic guitars delicately layered with samples. Ever present are Soord's familiar vocals, which deliver an emotive and accessible view into his contrasting feelings when writing about austerity whilst his newborn dozed in the studio. The audio has been recorded as two continuous linear pieces to replicate the pleasure of listening to an album on vinyl and was mastered by fellow The Pineapple Thief member Steve Kitch.

The new album, All This Will Be Yours, builds on Soord's momentum gained by The Pineapple Thief's multiple headline Europe and UK tours in support of 2018 UK #1 Rock album Dissolution and 2016 summer hit album Your Wilderness. November 2019 sees The Pineapple Thief embark on their first North American tour. A prolific musician, Soord has also previously collaborated with Katatonia’s Jonas Renkse on fan-favourite album Wisdom of Crowds and produced 5.1 mixes for the likes of Katatonia, Opeth & Anathema.

DAVID HASSELHOFF Releases Second Single "HEAD ON" Featuring THE CARS' ELLIOT EASTON!

Los Angeles, CA - Iconic star of the screen and stage and multi-platinum selling singer David Hasselhoff will be releasing his new album Open Your Eyes on September 27. The album is a new peak in an already illustrious career finding The Hoff joined by a host of equally legendary guest musicians including such talents as film composer Tyler Bates, producer Todd Rundgren, country singer Charlie Daniels, and The Stooges’ guitarist James Williamson who joined Hasselhoff on the album’s first single, the titular track “Open Your Eyes!”

Now, Hasselhoff is ready to release his next single, this time backed by superstar guitarist Elliot Easton of The Cars on a superb cover of The Jesus & Mary Chain’s neo-psych stunner “Head On.” The song was a major hit for the Reid brothers back in 1989 and Easton and Hasselhoff’s version remain true to the song’s overall structure while adding a bit more swagger courtesy of Hasselhoff’s excellent vocal performance and Easton’s precise playing. Easton’s extraordinary skill as a guitarist helped propel his band The Cars into last year’s induction class to the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. Sadly, the music world mourned the passing of Cars’ frontman Ric Ocasek earlier this month.

Meanwhile, The Hoff continues his preparations for the upcoming 30th anniversary celebration of the fall of the Berlin Wall with a much anticipated tour through Germany, Austria & Switzerland beginning October 2!

King Crimson's "In The Court Of The Crimson King" 50th Anniversary Series 3CD/Blu-Ray featuring 5.1 Surround Sound Mix & New Stereo Mix

Blu-Ray features all-new, 2019, 5.1 & stereo mixes by Steven Wilson, approved by Robert Fripp in 24/96 resolution

Recorded in 1969 “In The Court Of The Crimson King” stands as one of the defining albums of British rock music & one of the finest debut albums of all time. Described at the time as “an uncanny masterpiece” by Pete Townshend, the album has achieved legendary status over the years. Fifty years on, the album is one of the most beloved & revered in the rock music canon.

The 50th anniversary edition features:

Blu-Ray: First time on Blu-Ray for this iconic album with all new mixes in stereo & 5.1, original album mixes and a multitude of extras all in Hi-Resolution.

CDs: 3 CDs present the 2019 mixes in stereo & instrumental forms, an expanded alternate album and the original album mix – also with additional tracks.

Packaged in two gatefold sleeves with booklet in a rigid exterior slipcase

Blu-Ray features all-new, 2019, 5.1 & stereo mixes by Steven Wilson, approved by Robert Fripp in 24/96 resolution – the first time the album has appeared in 5.1 at 24/96 resolution. Blu-Ray also features the original master edition of the 1969 album mix in 24/96 stereo. Blu-Ray also features a complete alternate album comprising 2019 mixes by Steven Wilson

A further album's worth of additional material drawn from studio takes – much of it mixed by Steven Wilson & including extracts from the 'wind session' that produced the intro to 21CSM in stereo for the first time, the single a/b sides of the album title track drawn, for the first time since on disc, from the original master tapes & more are also included.

The Blu-Ray is completed by a set of 2019 instrumental mixes and the surviving fragment of black & white footage from Hyde Park in 1969

This set marks the first appearance of the album on Blu-Ray completing the availability of all King Crimson studio albums on the format.

CD1 presents the album in its 2019 stereo mix – along with the 2019 instrumental takes (with 'Moonchild' edited to song length)
CD2 presents an expanded edition of the alternate album from the Blu-Ray
CD3 features the original master edition of the 1969 mix plus additional tracks

Presented as a 2 x gatefold sleeve edition containing the individual CDs plus booklet with new sleeve-notes by King Crimson biographer Sid Smith packed in a rigid slipcase. Artwork derived from the original paintings, as meticulously restored, for the limited edition full sized, signed prints

All material on this set will also feature on the forthcoming “Complete 1969 Sessions” – the eighth boxed set in the series documenting King Crimson's studio & live recordings from 1969 onwards.

The Alternate album appears, quite deliberately, in slightly different track-listings on the Blu-Ray & CD (& on the accompanying double vinyl set). The aim on the Blu-Ray was to provide a fully sequenced listen that closely resembled the original album running order. This was extended on the CD, gathering many of the new mixes on one disc & revised again to make for a satisfying listen on vinyl.

In common with all other King Crimson studio albums in the format, the 5.1 mixes are being made available in this affordable set rather than being held over exclusively for larger expensive boxed sets, a practice that limits the availability of the music in multichannel audio to the detriment of artists and fans alike.

In the 50 years since its release “In The Court of the Crimson King” has never been out of print or unavailable in any of the world's main music markets & continues to enjoy consistently high sales.

JOEY MOLLAND OF BADFINGER IN THE STUDIO RECORDING A BRAND NEW ALBUM

Teams With Grammy-Winning Producer and Grammy-Winning Engineer

NEW YORK, NY – JOEY MOLLAND of the band BADFINGER is currently in the studio working on a brand new release. He’s enlisted Grammy-winning songwriter/producer Mark Hudson and Grammy-winning engineer Mario J. McNulty to work on the album with him and is excited to share this latest project with his fans.

“I’ve wanted to make this album for several years now. The songs are solid and quite catchy – many harken back to that power pop/rock sound I began my career with.” – Joey Molland

Fans can find many ways to be a part of this special project through Joey's Kickstarter campaign which launched today.

Joey was a member of Badfinger’s classic line-up and the band was one of the original signings to the Beatles’ Apple Records label. They had their first hit single with a Paul McCartney penned song, "Come and Get It." Badfinger followed this with their own hit compositions "No Matter What", "Day After Day" (produced by George Harrison), and "Baby Blue." During this time American singer Harry Nilsson placed Badfinger's song "Without You" on top of the charts, and Mariah Carey did the same in 1994. Badfinger's own version of "Without You" was featured in Season 2 of the hit television show This Is Us, which helped introduce the band's music to brand new younger fans.

The timeless quality of Badfinger songs is evident, as the songs continue to be used in many other contemporary TV and film soundtracks. The song "No Matter What" was featured in the hit film Horrible Bosses 2, "Baby Blue" was featured in the Breaking Bad TV show finale, and "Day After Day" is currently featured in the movie Annabelle Comes Home.

Joey Molland played on John Lennon's Imagine album, on George Harrison’s Grammy-winning album All Things Must Pass, and joined George Harrison for the Concert For Bangladesh.

Producer Mark Hudson has worked extensively with artists such as Ringo Starr, Aerosmith, Ozzy Osbourne, Harry Nilsson, Bon Jovi, Alice Cooper, Celine Dion and more.

Engineer Mario J. McNulty has worked with many well-known artists, including David Bowie, Prince and Julian Lennon.

Both are excited to be working with Joey on his brand new release.
