Over his storied career, MARK DUDA has collaborated with rock and roll royalty from New York and beyond. Recent collaborations include legendary guitarists Cheetah Chrome (Dead Boys), Jake Cinninger (Umphrey’s McGee), Pat Travers, and Steve Hackett (Genesis). Mark has also recorded with bassist Kenny Aaronson (Billy Idol, Joan Jett), bassist Kasim Sulton (Todd Rundgren, Joan Jett), drummers Bobby Rondinelli (Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult) and Thommy Price (Joan Jett, Billy Idol), and saxophone legend Arno Hecht (Dion, Rolling Stones).

BODEGA FLOWERS was executive produced by MARK DUDA and produced by Jimi K. Bones (Blondie, Joan Jett, Jonas Brothers, Willie Nile.) Jimi’s crisp production and arrangements perfectly showcase Mark Duda at his finest. Two-time Grammy nominee Kostadin Kamcev served as both recording and mastering engineer for BODEGA FLOWERS, while also contributing keys. BODEGA FLOWERS proudly features the legendary rhythm section of Kasim Sulton (bass) and Thommy Price (drums), collaborating here for the first time in 30 years! Jimi K. Bones further energizes the record with his guitar playing and background vocals. Arno Hecht (Dion, Rolling Stones) returns to play saxophone on several songs, and Johnny Pisano (Willie Nile) sings backing vocals throughout the record. Cynthia Longley Richards, who was featured on Month of Sundays, returns to the band to play cello on several songs, and Joan Chew (Lez Zeppelin) contributes keys.

Before recording 2017’s Month of Sundays, MARK DUDA gained wide recognition as the front man for New York hard rockers The Handful. The Handful have released four full-length albums since 2004, including Sons of Downtown in 2015, which was Mark’s first collaboration with Cheetah Chrome, and also features Mark in a duet with Cherie Currie of Runaways fame. Other releases with The Handful include Second Hand Smoke, Palmistry, and Wooden Indian on which Mark wrote, sang, and played guitar. Mark is also the lead vocalist for Rome, Italy-based band Mad City Rockers, who released the album Black Celebration in 2009, and handles guitar and vocals for contemporary heavy rockers August Fire. Mark continues to write and record for himself and with other groups.

Award Winning New Age Artists Paul Adams and Elizabeth Geyer Release New Album “Sanctuary”

Elizabeth was meditating in a dark room to stave off a blinding migraine while Paul practiced the breathy Anasazi and Native American flute downstairs. Something about the combination of the wind and the low gentle phrases Paul was playing was curiously grounding and she began to feel better. Wondering what was different about these sounds from other gentle music they'd created and explored, it was the comforting reassurance of a constant low anchor that seemed to be holding the dreamy, soaring, floating textures. Put simply, music that flies without ever flying away.  Music is an incredible medium; it can excite, confront, take us to the edge; equally other music can nurture, comfort and heal. “Sanctuary” is both a powerful grounding meditation soundtrack while equally artistically rich. Adam's sultry electric sitar and other worldly touches and Geyer's distinctive jazz sensibilities on piano and vocal make “Sanctuary” both indulgence for the soul and a perfect healing backdrop for these troubled times.

Says Ray Bennett: “What ‘Think Like A Key Music’ set out to do here, on this multi-disc set, is to gather together whatever was left out there of live FLASH stuff regardless of quality and present it in the best possible way. Whatever improvements could be made to the audio were done. Quite a bit of it is rough sounding, but I found that even with the poor sound issues there was something coming across from the live experience. Some surprisingly good moments. A fair bit of this material was fan-recorded, probably on cassettes, some possibly from rough mixing board recordings; some is much better studio type quality, and some has been online for years on obscure websites, but in the worst possible form – awful sound, complete with extraneous noise and talking in the recordings. So all that has been cleaned up and the sound mastered as well as possible. Overall, I think this is a worthy project for the historical record at the very least. Other than the ‘In Public’ CD which is already available, this new set is it as far as we know. Pretty much all that there is of live FLASH performance.”

Klay Cartier's The Great Escape is a fierce single sent from heaven

 

Eccentric artist Klay Cartier is back with his second single ‘The Great Escape’. Following in the footsteps of debut single ‘My Type’, Klay is once again out to showcase his ability to keep his fan base entertained. Receiving praise from the likes of NOTION, CLOUT & The Pit Ldn to name a few outlets, Klay’s future is certainly looking bright. R&B with elements of soul throughout, the new release feels like summer has come early. 

Speaking about the new release ‘The Great Escape’, Klay explains, “The Great Escape is about the first taste of freedom. That time in your life where you’re fully in control of your life and your journey. It’s exciting yet terrifying because it provokes the question of,“What is the true meaning of freedom? What would you do if you had true freedom?”. To me this song reminds of a time in my life where I was fresh out of high school and I was in love, and we’d drive for hours exploring Kansas City, it was the first time in my life where I felt free.”

Musically endearing, ‘The Great Escape’ is based around a neo-soul arrangement with elements of indie-pop throughout. Adding to how he created the track, Klay shares, “I created this track with my friend Tim. I heard this guitar line and I came up with a melody, he matched me and took it up a notch. We ended up just going back and forth with melodies and ideas until we came up with a solid outline for the track. I sang a line (what’s now the chorus) and Tim liked it so he said,“sing it again this time brighter and with more emotion! I did it and we recorded the chorus right there and then came up with the story for the song.”

The new single from Swedish singer/songwriter SINNAH, Good Night, highlights that very relatable stage of a romantic relationship when you want to figure out where it all goes

A steady beat combined with a playful but gentle vocal performance makes "Good Night" an ideal choice for a mixtape. SINNAH reveals a different side of her love stories in both "Good Night" and the EP "Exist Loud" as she maintains her classy, no drama attitude. She uses a more complex mix of emotions in her new EP instead of her previous tongue-in-cheek bubbly approach to breakups. Like a post-teen pop divas like Taylor Swift, "Good Night" lingers like a determined heartbeat. This is not a song to whine about your crush, but rather a confident refusal to fall into relationship traps.

An artist whose motto could be “Be a beautiful cupcake in a world full of muffins'', SINNAH’s effervescent personality has been imprinted on her music since her debut in 2018.
