Tina Rix reveals motivational anthem 'I'm Winning'

With a new season brings change and growth. Texas-based R&B/pop-soul artist Tina Rix rings in the spring season with her upcoming motivational anthem “I’m Winning”.. A soulful upbeat track with elements of Latin music, Afrobeats and hip-hop, this single embodies what Rix aspires to share with the world - hope. “I’m Winning” celebrates achievements, big or small, and champions a never give up attitude.

Blending the multiple sounds of the diaspora, in addition to fusing modern R&B, Gospel and pop the Texan creates a genre that is uniquely her own. A strong proponent for creating music with a meaningful message, the artist aims to heal listeners with every track.

In addition to her music, the Nigerian-American artist Tina Rix is a licensed therapist, filmmaker and mental health advocate. After graduating from Prairie View A&M University, a historically Black college, Rix began her extensive career in the mental health field. After several successful years as a practicing therapist, Rix sensed she could provide healing energy on multiple levels and through multiple forums, including music. In 2020, at the start of the global pandemic, Rix used the down time to craft her debut album, No Looking Back, a 17-track project that aims to inspire listeners to live their lives fearlessly and authentically.

Receiving previous support from Conversations About Her, Link Up TV, Amor Magazine, H-Wing & Mystic Sons to name a few outlets, Tina, who is named after Tina Turner, is going from strength to strength with each release.

Speaking about the gorgeous new single ‘Babe’, Tina Rix shares, “Babe is a cute song for your special someone. I have masculine and feminine energy and songs like this are important to show the softer side of me. The feminine side of TIna is a great woman, mom, and lover when in a mutually respectful and loving relationship. The warrior side of Tina got to take a break when making this track and put her pretty girl clothes and shoes on, lol!”

Getting to record the female version of Xammie’s household tune, Tina’s take is flirtatious and fuelled with her distinctive afro-pop style. Stating its the simplicity of the track that does it for her, ‘Babe’ feels like Valentine’s Day has come early!

Tina Rix releases soulful new offering 'Do Better'

Nigerian, American artist Tina Rix returns with new contender ‘Do Better’. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Sade, Jill Scott, Seal, John Mayer and Michael Jackson to name a few, Tina Rix is an artist in her own right on a mission to change the industry forever. Receiving previous support from Conversations About Her, Link Up TV, Amor Magazine, H-Wing & Mystic Sons to name a few outlets, Tina is going from strength to strength with each release.

Speaking about the stylish new release, Tina shares, The track Do Better is a single off my soon-to-be-released full-length music album, titled No Looking Back, scheduled to be released in January 2022.  Do Better is about someone who is feeling drained and frustrated with their lover.

You know, sometimes in relationships, people get lazy, comfortable, familiar, and forget that you are a prize and should be treated like a queen. When one person is putting in all the work and trying to sustain the relationship and the other person is just kinda...there along for the ride, refusing to build and pretty set in their inability to try any harder. The song depicts the frustration in the partner that put so much in and doesn't want to leave but will if she has to. She's airing her grievances with her lover hoping it doesn't fall on deaf ears.  I feel as though this song could easily be viewed from a male or female's perspective, married, dating, or in a long-term relationship. So men don't feel left out on this one! It's a gender-fluid kinda theme. Everyone that has been in a relationship that has lost its spark can relate to 'Do Better.'
