Robert Vincent Releases His Single ‘Separate The Fiction From The Fact’ on 6th November From Next Year’s Album of the Same Name

Robert Vincent - Separate The Fiction From The Fact Cover

Atmospheric British folk-rock, roots and psychedelia from one of the UK's most acclaimed contemporary songwriters.

Americana • Folk Rock • Roots Rock • Singer-Songwriter • Psychedelic Folk/Rock

The single ‘Separate The Fiction From The Fact’ opens a new chapter for award-winning Liverpool singer-songwriter Robert Vincent. Expansive, soulful and thought-provoking, the title track takes Vincent's roots songwriting into atmospheric folk-rock and psychedelic territory, bringing a distinctly late-60s/70s character to his unmistakable voice and writing. At the heart of the song - and the forthcoming album - is a search for truth in an age of noise, misinformation and division. Vincent looks outward at an increasingly uncertain world while questioning his own place within it: what can one person change, and can writing songs ever be enough?

Robert says “I look at the world and wonder what I can actually do to change anything. Am I enough just writing songs about these things? But it's all I've ever known, and I believe words have power. We're living in a strange time. It's getting harder to know what's true and what's not. We're fed what people want us to see, pushed further apart, turned against each other. Sometimes it feels like we're living in the very future Orwell and Huxley warned us about.

“But I'm not just pointing the finger at the world. I'm questioning myself too. Could I be a better person? Have I learnt from my mistakes? How do we find love and hope when everything around us feels so divided? I don't have the answers. It's never as simple as writing a love song and hoping everything will be alright. But I still believe we have to keep trying”.

That's what ‘Separate The Fiction From The Fact’ is about. Trying to make sense of it all, finding some truth in the noise, remembering what's important and believing that as people we all have a resonance that can bring a change for good.

Love, not hate. Sleep and repeat which is at the end of the song; In such divisive times, There is positivity and hope to be found in the resonance of people coming together with the intention of love - not hate".

Featured Track: Amilia K Spicer - Lightning

Amilia K Spicer's music hits you like a hurricane and strikes you like a bolt of  "Lightning."

Her strong and sensuous vocal style draws you in and latches on. She dangles the carrot of temptation with strong words and images in her video and stream for the new single.

If you like to sail away with the music Amilia has the power to get you there.

More About Amilia:

http://amiliakspicer.com

It may be her haunting, husky voice that first grabs a listener, the way it glides over melodies like smoke, but it’s the songwriting that Spicer really wants you to hear.  It fuses together the different places she calls home:

Raised in rural Pennyslvania, currently residing in California, spending half the year in Austin, the topography covers languid farm landscapes, red dirt Americana, and an occasional turn down a dark alley with flickering neon...READ MORE...

Featured Stream: Amilia K. Spicer - Fill Me Up

Roots Rock and Americana are really taking hold. It has been for several years and the more I hear it the more I can see why it has become so popular.

Music from artists such Amilia K. Spicer, like her track "Fill Me Up," will give you a good idea of what this music sounds like, or should sound like.

Spicer's voice has that edge country influenced music needs. The vocals gives it all more heart and soul. Truthfully, the reason I like the music so much is because it is so honest and emotional.

"Fill Me Up" comes at you locked and loaded and ready to fire away. The music is very earthy with a heavy influence from country (and I don't mean all polished with rock and pop for a looped radio playlist) just as all Americana or Roots Rock.

Check out this great music and the hypnotizing vocals of Amilia K. Spicer.

Born in Upstate NY in a small town called Potsdam in what many refer to as the North Country, singer-songwriter Angie Bruyere spent her childhood running through the backwoods and roaming the train tracks, living the simple life that inspires imaginations of which lyrics and melodies are made. Settling in Southern California at a young age, Bruyere began a modeling career that took her on a journey around the world...experiences that can be felt throughout many of her songs.  Pen and paper always in hand, she began writing poetry and playing her guitar, lending itself naturally to combining her two passions into what has become a body of musical work that she continues grow daily...READ MORE...

David Davenport offers a straight down the line stripped down sound on One Brother, his second release. This is a deeply emotive recording for Davenport. Nearly the entire album is his voice and a grand piano. Because of the prolific real life lyrics, the rhythmic sensibility, and a strong vocal presence, the kind you would be able to single out in a church choir, this works very well...READ MORE...
