Music News: Russell Suereth Creates A Spiritual Haven For New Age Listeners

New York, NY-September 15, 2015-Russell Suereth released his maiden voyage into the new age world music genre this spring with Spiritual Haven.

He created the Spiritual Haven album to provide a place where people can go to relax, and connect to their own spirit.

Russell commented: I feel there’s a connection between our life today, and the vast stream of human existence that came before us. In many ways, our spirit can help us make that ancient connection. In this album, I focused on ancient and traditional instruments to set a tone. Then I sprinkled in modern instruments and synths to contrast old against new. My goal was to create music that connects to your spirit, and connects to that ancient existence.

Based on the reception he has received for the release and all the positive reviews there is valid evidence that his final goal was accomplished and many souls were touched by the music. Spiritual Haven ushered in a new direction for Suereth. Previously he had released contemporary rock and pop music however he found that there were many elements and influences that pulled him towards creating this music.

This has to be one of the most fascinating and cleverly woven albums that I have had the pleasure to listen to for some years.” –
Steve Sheppard, One World Music (OWM)

“One of the best New Age albums of the year … a masterpiece” –
Robert Steven Silverstein, mwe3.com

Spiritual Haven was composed and performed by Suereth with Assistant Production provided by Keith “MuzikMan” Hannaleck and final mastering by renowned engineer Tom Eaton, who works with Will Ackerman at the famous Imaginary Road Studios in Vermont where many artists go to record their music.

Spiritual Haven combines relaxing and spiritual sounds with new age and world elements. The final result is an eclectic mix that is not easy to define specifically to one genre. This factor helps the artist to stand out amongst the many different artists creating similar music. Although the two main genres are dominant it has the ability to cross over and appeal to a wider audience. Music such as this can serve as a guide to a meditative state or just a nice soundtrack to casually relax to. Either way it is a spiritual or contemplative journey that provides so much joy and wonder from start to finish that you will feel compelled to return again and again for more listens.

Russell Suereth is dedicated to his craft and has worked tirelessly to create awareness about Spiritual Haven. Once you listen to the recording you will understand the concept and reasoning behind the intent of this prolific release. Listeners are anticipating more from Russell Suereth in the future and certainly he intends to provide more spiritual journeys soon but until then give Spiritual Haven your undivided attention, you will not regret it.

Russell Suereth Releases Video Documenting Spiritual Haven Album

September 1, 2015-New York, NY-With the release of Spiritual Haven this year recording artist Russell Suereth broke new ground. Entering the world of new age and world music was big change for the former rock and pop artist. That step has brought the artist to new heights and success in the world of recordings.

The album features 12 diverse and moving tracks that engage the senses and allow you look inward and find yourself in another time and place.

Russell Commented: I wanted to provide my listeners with something that would really help them see the story in the album. I had done a few radio programs about the journey inside the album, but I didn’t feel that it really hit home for my listeners.

So along those lines he decided to engage his audience and potential listeners through a video storybook.

Russell wanted to have the story narrated and felt having another voice tell the story was more appropriate. A friend suggested Steve Sheppard of One World Music and things began to take shape.

So now with the video released listeners are invited to a guided tour through what the album has to offer. In essence the video provides a holistic spiritual voyage for the listener while expanding the breadth of the new age experience. And finally, it combines the original music of the Spiritual Havenalbum, and the story of the journey inside, to form a creative work that is new and memorable.

Music, spiritual destinations, meditation and new journeys are all part of the Spiritual Haven experience and with the release of the narrated video any one appreciative of those healing practices will find enjoyment viewing the video stream.

Rumboy – ‘Rumboy EP’ Review

Rumboy – ‘Rumboy EP’

Aged only 21, Jay Thackery has already played in venues across the North West, and recorded several EPs under different names. His latest project, Rumboy, sees his years of experience entertaining crowds come together in his most intriguing release yet.

Rumboy brings together pop melodies and darker lyrics, as he sings of bad break-ups and difficulties in relationships in ‘Stay’ and ‘Girl (Don’t Bother Me None)’, while ‘Whereuleftme’ recalls the heartbreaking ballads of superstar Sam Smith.

The Lancastrian’s lyrics won’t be winning Thackery awards any time soon – he declares “I’d do anything to make you stay / But you say you’re going away” – but he has produced decent guitar-driven pop songs which, for a debut, make him one to look out for.

The ‘Rumboy EP’ will be released on August 31st

Gary Clark Jr.
POWNAL, VT (July 14, 2015) — Guitars, guitars, guitars! They’re the engines driving the hip shakin’, butt-quakin’ rock ‘n’ roll that will be reverberating through the green mountains of southern Vermont next month when THE FULL TILT BOOGIE music festival brings ZZ Top, Gary Clark Jr., Buddy Guy, Blackberry Smoke, the Marshall Tucker Band, Trigger Hippy (feat. Joan Osborne & Jackie Greene), the Wood Brothers, Albert Lee featuring Cindy Cashdollar, Girls Guns & Glory and so much more to the alternating main stages of the newly revived scenic festival grounds at Green Mountain Racetrack.

THE FULL TILT BOOGIE, an historic one-day, two-stage guitar extravaganza set for Aug. 22, is by far the biggest music festival to play this picturesque setting since it hosted over 30,000 music lovers for the Lollapalooza Music Festival almost two decades ago.

Tickets for THE FULL TILT BOOGIE are on sale NOW through Ticketmaster at $92.50. Free parking is included. Gates open 10 a.m. Complete information at www.greenmountainlive.com.

“THE FULL TILT BOOGIE features bands whose music meets at ‘the crossroads’ of Roadhouse Boogie, Southern Rock, Blue-eyed soul, Rockabilly and The Blues,” says promoter Tony Pallagrosi of UMT Presents, whose New Jersey concert company is aligning with Green Mountain Live! and TTM to produce the progressive, environment-friendly event. “This year’s inaugural festival features some incredible guitar-fueled artists. It’s gonna be 11 hours of some of the best hip shakIn’ music on the planet!”

Guitar fans won’t be able to resist the incendiary sounds and the serene surroundings that THE FULL TILT BOOGIE will deliver to the Pownal Valley, one of the most beautiful in all of Vermont.

And in another first, THE FULL TILT BOOGIE is using electric power generated by renewable resources. Hence the appropriately named Green Stage, which will be home to revered roots music troubadour Seth Walker; NJ Americana rockers Stolen Rhodes; high energy, “riffy” power trio Wild Adriatic; the Tangier Blues Band, led by world renowned rock photographer and music documentarian Danny Clinch; and local favorites T Bone Daddy.

Nestled between the Green Mountains of Vermont and the Taconic Mountains in New York, it’s home to scenic farms and villages and the perfect destination for weekend getaways. Situated quietly between Bennington, VT and Williamstown, MA, the town of Pownal is known as "The Gateway to Vermont," with a rich history that predates the Revolutionary War.

THE FULL TILT BOOGIE promises its own revolution, musically speaking. It’s sparking a music festival revival at Green Mountain Racetrack, the first of numerous music festivals being planned for the site in the spring, summer, and fall of 2016 and beyond. THE FULL TILT BOOGIE music festival offers convenient and spacious access with outstanding acoustics in a breathtaking setting.

After arriving through secure gates, attendees can spread out with plenty of room to see the stage, hear the music, and enjoy the festival’s wide array of top food truck vendors and beverage distillers from around New England. Green Mountain Racetrack offers easy access from across New England and the tri-state areas with a 45 minute drive from Albany and less than three hours from Boston, New York City, and Hartford. While there is plenty of parking available on site, attendees are encouraged to carpool, access the area via Peter Pan Bus Lines, or use the venue’s free bike storage. The Pownal area has many surrounding activities and is known for weekend getaways.

RYDE, a crowd-sourcing transportation company, has partnered with Green Mountain Live! to provide regional shuttle service to THE FULL TILT BOOGIE, enabling upscale motor coaches to shuttle fans to the festival grounds  from surrounding cities and states, and provide an economical, environmentally-friendly, and highly social alternative to single-car driving.

About Green Mountain Live!
Green Mountain Live! is the home of premier music festivals and special events that will be offered throughout the summer and fall in a bucolic, rural setting in Vermont, conveniently located to major cities in New England and New York. The music venue has a vibrant history as the home of the former Green Mountain Racetrack. Crazy Fenton Making Some Noise With ‘Cool Ella’ Single

A welcome throwback to the golden ages of punk and rock, Crazy Fenton is the musical brainchild of songwriter Clive Aliker - a Norfolk based artist who is a big fan of making a good old fashioned ruckus. With influences from 60s garage rock and 70s punk all the way through to the modern day, Crazy Fenton is the work of a veteran musician who certainly knows how to rattle out a top tune.

Having worked with renowned producer Dave Allen (The Cure, Human League, Chameleons) to arrive at an energetic studio style, the new single ‘Cool Ella’ is set for release on June 22nd. High energy and built on a foundation of distorted guitars and pounding drums, this is one for fans of the classics.

‘Cool Ella’ is one hell of a way to come out fighting, and with the follow up album due a couple of weeks later on July 13th, you will be hearing a lot more of Crazy Fenton in 2015. The album, produced by British EDM trailblazer Alex Banks (EZ Rollers), is the kind of release which will have the music industry on high alert with its raw song writing and production values.

With lyrics inspired – in Clive Aliker’s own words – by ‘deaths, mental failings, and a complete inability to understand the female species’, these are songs that listeners can’t fail to relate to.

And in ‘Cool Ella’, Crazy Fenton has picked out one hell of an entrance.

Go Primitive Ready For Impact With New EP ‘100 Ways’

Five track collection due for release July 13th

A four piece from the UK, Go Primitive are a band who specialise in contemporary rock with a unique twist, following in the footsteps of groups like Foo Fighters and Twin Atlantic while forging their very own sound. It’s an approach which is paying dividends, with previous tracks being fast-tracked onto BBC Introducingshows within a week of uploading.

Always working hard on new material, their next release sees them on rollicking form with new EP ‘100 Ways’, a five song collection inspired by the many obstacles placed in front of independent musicians. Lead single ‘Breathe in, Bleed out’ sees them on typical top form, showing Go Primitive’s rock credentials in all their glory and going all out to bust through those obstacles…

Produced by Romesh Dodangoda (Kids in Glass Houses, Funeral For A Friend, Twin Atlantic, Motorhead, The Blackout, Bullet For My Valentine,  Lower Than Atlantis, Bring Me The Horizon), the EP is unsurprisingly dazzling in its depth of quality. The attention to detail that has gone into infusing these studio tracks with the energy of a live show is what will set them apart. That same attention to detail has also been extended to the excellent artwork, produced by Kids in Glass Houses front man Aled Phillips.

That Go Primitive are associated with such names goes a long way to proving their credentials as they climb the independent music ladder. They have already supported The Subways, We Are The Ocean and others, getting a fantastic response from the big crowds along the way. This, along with the fact that they can count The Editors as fans, has given Go Primitive great confidence that they are on the right track.

It’s that confidence which has given rise in large part to the ‘100 Ways’ EP. In the band’s own words:
“The E.P is a show of our strength to overcome the struggles and constant roadblocks put in front of many bands at our stage. We hope that after countless efforts, this will be the E.P that makes our name stand up to the bigger acts out there and pushes us further in our musical journey.”

A perfect blend of four personalities all fighting for the same goal, the current line up of Go Primitive has moved through various iterations to land in its final configuration. With each band member bringing their own musical background and experiences from different bands and projects, this is one band with all the tools and the grit to break through in 2015.

The ‘100 Ways’ EP is released July 13th.

Live Dates:
1 August - Atherstone Festival - Atherstone
5th September - Welfest - Welford Upon Avon
19th September - The Pig and Drum - Worcester
24th September - Big show to be announced
26th September - Homegrown Festival - Oxford

Music Industry Veteran Launches New Music Pre-Production Service For Indie Artists

Boston, MA-April 23, 2015-Long time music industry journalist and webmaster Keith “MuzikMan” Hannaleck has launched a service to help Indie Artists in the early stages of recording their music.

To date Hannaleck has been involved in three projects with more lining up, from beginning to end in helping artists to create their albums. Tracks are evaluated in their most rudimentary form for the artists. The input is invaluable at the beginning stages all the way to the final mastering and sequencing.

The process goes through four stages and can last anywhere from 1 to 3 months or longer.

Russ Suereth Commented:  Keith was patient during the initial creation process. I must say that the initial drafts were not great, because I was still trying to find my place within this new space. Keith was there to help guide my focus to an area that listeners were expecting to hear, and once I got on track I was able to take off on my own. Keith helped with a few final thoughts at the end, and also provided thoughtful and detailed descriptions of the tracks. They were very helpful in marketing my music to other people in the industry.

Any artist would benefit from Keith’s insights, experience, and deep knowledge of music and the greater music industry.

Hannaleck currently runs 4 different blogs that concentrate on music, Write A Music Review, Prog Rock Music Talk, New Age Music Reviews and Rate The Tracks. He has been in the music industry for over 16 years and is the founder of the website MuzikReviews.com which went offline last year due to an ownership change. That did not deter the man from carrying on and he continued to be a relevant part of the online music industry contributing music reviews with his staff and posting streaming media and news.

Regarding The Pre-Production Service Hannaleck States-The goal is to provide each artist with an honest assessment of each individual track. A further recommendation for additional instruments or removal of the same helps to make the tracks better in sound and overall texture and presentation. After several iterations of evaluations and short reviews of each track the end result should be a complete album ready for final mastering. My knowledge and connections in the music industry will assist the artist in taking their music to the next level and making recommendations for mastering and publicity.

This Pre-Production service is one that is greatly needed in the highly competitive and at times confusing music industry. Experience, honesty and a straightforward approach is something that is an invaluable resource that any artist seeks. Hannaleck hopes to make this service an integral part of the industry for years to come. All of the sites, social networks and services are available to access on one page at www.muzikman.net
