Twink of Pink Fairies, Pretty Things and Tomorrow Fame Announces the Release of his New Solo Album, Think Pink V, the Follow-Up to His Iconic Think Pink Album. OUT NOW!

This new studio album from psychedelic rock icon Twink, best known as a member of Tomorrow, The Pink Fairies and The Pretty Things is a follow up to his seminal 1970 solo album Think Pink which is held in high regard as one of the founding albums of the psychedelic genre.

Think Pink V, the next instalment of this epic journey, was recorded in 2022 and mixed in early 2023.

Twink was playing tour dates around the world, even in countries such as China, before lockdown and he’s now looking forward to returning to the live scene armed with this album of new material.

Twink said of the release: "The time of Five has arrived. I am wondering what you will make of it? That’s the same question I had when the original Think Pink was finished in 1969 and released in the US in 1970 & in the UK in 1971. It has been fabulous working with Ed Sykes & Dionne Corona again. We did have fun putting it together…"

The album is OUT NOW and available from:

The Pink Fairies Complete Re-Releases of the Band’s 1990s Albums Alongside a Compilation Featuring Two Newly Completed Tracks – All Out Now!

In the late 1990s a two-man line-up of the iconic Pink Fairies band, Paul Rudolph and Twink, recorded a pair of albums called Pleasure Island (1996) and No Picture (1997) which only received a limited release at the time. The band has now approved re-mastered re-releases of both albums via Cherry Red.

During the preparation of the re-releases, two incomplete tracks came to light. “Do You Remember?” and “Bugman” have now been released for the first time on a new compilation of recordings from the era, called Duo, which also features newly written liner notes chronicling this 1990s chapter of the band’s history.

Paul Rudolph said: "It was a lot of fun to work with Twink on 'Pleasure Island' and 'No Picture'. A visit turned into a totally spontaneous happening with things coming together on the spot, not unlike a Pink Fairies gig, rehearsal or recording session. Riding the energy of the Universe in the moment. For me, 'Cargoe in Jamaica' from the 'Pleasure Island' CD is very reminiscent of the Pink Fairies live. Working with Twink’s lyrics reminded me of our collaboration writing 'Do It'.

Twink added: "Working with Paul again, albeit at a distance, has reminded me of the great and fun times we had together making the albums 'Pleasure Island' and 'No Picture' back in the 90s. The remastered versions just released by Cherry Red Records sound amazing. I've heard the remastered version of the 'Duo' compilation with previously unreleased recordings included and it sounds equally amazing. I sincerely hope we will get a chance to work together again in the future. Hey Captain .... Don't forget the sea biscuits!!"

No Picture on CD: https://geni.us/ExM018cd

The Pink Fairies are also on Spotify (https://geni.us/PFspo) and Apple Music (https://geni.us/PFam).

"Do you remember, Love and Peace, it was the time that we hit the streets, the days were long, we played for free, it was the time of the Pink Fairies" (lyrics from "Do You Remember?" on the Duo CD)

UK Psychedelic Rock Legends Pink Fairies Return With New Album 'Resident Reptiles'

Los Angeles - The legendary UK psychedelic anarchists return with a fantastic new album led by founding Fairy Paul Rudolph! Rudolph is joined by former Hawkwind bassist Alan Davey and original Motörhead drummer Lucas Fox, who not only created a killer rhythm section for the album but added a bit of sizzling biker-rock to the mix!

Another Pink Fairies/Motörhead member, Larry Wallis, was with the band in spirit as they churned out an excellent version of his tune “Old Enuff To Know Better!”

“I'd say this journey started with Nik Turner introducing me to Cleopatra Records. I was asked about the possibility of recording a LP under the Pink Fairies banner and thought - this would be a lot of fun. Get a few people together, turn the amps up to 10 and let 'er rip.

Larry Wallis wanted to be involved and Matt at Cleopatra suggested Alan Davey on bass and Lucas Fox on drums . It seemed like a good match considering the Hawkwind and Motorhead connections. Both Alan and I had been in Hawkwind and Larry and Lucas in the original Motorhead. We were all mates with Lemmy as well and the creative energy flowed as soon as we got to the studio in Austin.
All of this helped by Jurgen Engler of Die Kruups behind the desk with Eric the engineer.

So here it is - a spontaneous collaboration of ideas recorded mostly live. Thank you for listening.
Peace and Love” - Paul Rudolph

The Pink Fairies To Release First New Album “Naked Radio” In 3 Decades!

London - The legendary Pink Fairies will be releasing their new album titled “Naked Radio” on Gonzo Multimedia. It is the first studio recording by this line up of the band since “Kill Em and Eat Em” in 1987. Fronted by Andy Colquhoun (The Deviants), the band reformed in 2013 and played a number of successful UK shows through 2014 and 2015.

Says drummer Russell Hunter, “It's over 45 years since the first studio album and nearly 30 since the last - The passage of these years is inevitably etched to some extent on all these songs, some much deeper than others. But in the final analysis, they’re all some facet of The Pink Fairies.”

The Pink Fairies are an English rock band initially active in the London (Ladbroke Grove) underground and psychedelic scene of the early 1970's. They promoted free music, drug taking and anarchy and often performed impromptu gigs and other agitprop stunts, such as playing for free outside the gates at the Bath and Isle of Wight pop festivals in 1970, as well as appearing at Phun City, the first Glastonbury and many other free festivals including Windsor and Trentishoe.

After various line-ups through the years, now fronted by Andy Colquhoun (The Deviants), the band reformed in 2013 and played a number of successful UK shows through 2014 and 2015! And now much to the excitement of Pink Fairies fans worldwide, the new album 'Naked Radio' is scheduled for pre-order on October 14, 2016.

The Pink Fairies are:
Andy Colquhoun guitar and vocals
Russell Hunter drums and vocals
Sandy Sanderson bass and vocals
George Butler drums
Jaki Windmill djembe, keyboards and vocals
