Dave Grohl's SXSW 2013 Keynote Speech: The Complete Text
Amid the hundreds of names on the list, there are plenty of other highlights. Among them stand solo artists Julian Lennon and Howe Gelb, rappers Action Bronson and Mobb Deep, punk group Off! and indie acts Twin Shadow, Dum Dum Girls and His Electro Blue Voice. The lineup also includes a number of notable up-and-coming extreme-metal groups (Black Tusk, Obliteration, Wrekmeister Harmonies and Windhand, a band whose album Soma ranked third on Rolling Stone's Best Metal Albums of 2013) and a handful of groups who enjoyed popularity in the Nineties (Fuel, Toad the Wet Sprocket and Man or Astro-Man?).
In a press release, reps for the fest said they would be announcing more artists in the coming months. The festival is also often bolstered by artists announcing last-minute shows. SXSW 2013 featured late additions of sets by Justin Timberlake, Prince, Iggy & the Stooges, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Baauer and Trinidad James, among others.
