Electric Forgiveness, A Lysergic Mood Journey of Epic Proportions, To Release Debut Album “Original Score” Featuring Contributions by Rabbit (The Who), Steve Kilbey (The Church) and Doug MacMillan (The Connells)

An auditory movie that cleanses the third eye while blinding the other two!

A Lysergic Mood Journey of Epic Proportions

“Original Score” is a 43-minute piece of music consisting of 11 uninterrupted tracks. The intent is for it to be listened to all at once, in the dark, accompanied by someone you trust, and a Lava Lamp.

“Electric Forgiveness was initially a side project that I developed with John Bundrick,” said Third of Never founder Jon Dawson. “We (Third of Never) were recording at the House of Vibes in New Jersey at the same time as The Smithereens. At one point we couldn't book sessions due to their mixing deadline, so I put the guitar down and dove into the world of electronica.”

The new Electric Forgiveness album “Original Score” was also conceived during a break in Third of Never's recording schedule.

“I obtained a Korg Kasoscillator synthesizer and did not come up for air for days,” Dawson said. “Within a week I had the basis for another Electric Forgiveness record. This led to quite a bit of cross-pollination between the Third of Never and Electric Forgiveness projects.”

While dabs of electronica floated into the Third of Never album (slated for an April 2024 release), Electric Forgiveness inhaled some guitar and vocal tracks from the Third of Never camp.

“We’re lucky to have Doug MacMillan of The Connells as our vocalist in Third of Never,” Dawson said. “We sampled his voice along with a Steve Kilbey cameo and bits of my guitar for the Electric Forgiveness record. You’d think it would be terrifying trying to juggle two albums at once, but they actually informed each other rather nicely.”

“Steve Potak (The Connells) did 90% of the keyboards on this album in one take,” Dawson said. “What makes this even more remarkable is that he didn’t really hear any of the tracks until he sat down to record his parts.”

Vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Sara Bell was enlisted for Electric Forgiveness after participating in a Third of Never session.

“Her voice is as pure as you’ll ever hear, so I asked her to come in and improvise over sections of the Electric Forgiveness music,” Dawson said. “Her performance elevated everything. There's a beautiful eeriness in her voice that pulls the listener in instantly.”

Kurt Reil of the Grip Weeds contributed drums to the album.

“This is the most amazing recording of Kurt’s drumming I’ve ever heard,” Dawson said. “He usually has to be concerned with ‘playing for the song’ and finding the proper spots to explode, but with this music, there aren’t any songs in the traditional sense, so he’s allowed to just blow for 40 minutes, and his performance is staggering.”

Bassist Michael Kelly (Femmes of Rock, Grip Weeds, Gene Simmons) came to mind after Dawson remembered a conversation they’d had about music over a decade earlier.

“The Grip Weeds and Third of Never played at a music festival in Philadelphia around a decade ago,” Dawson said. “Michael and his wife had a cookout for both bands afterward. While we were there I played Michael bits of the first Electric Forgiveness album. One piece reminded him of Tomita - which he was a fan of, so when it came time to find a bassist for this new project he seemed like a natural fit. He did a great job adding melody to this sprawling ball of sound.”

The album will be released on October 15, 2023 by Broken Sound Tapes in conjunction with 343 Records and Jam Recordings. The initial formats will be CD, cassette and digital.

TrancEnd Releases Debut Album “Lilac” Where Prog Meets Trip-hop, Electronica, Groove & Pop

What happens when Prog meets Trip-hop meets Electronica meets Groove meets Pop? A mind meld of 90s Euro-trance history savored in twenty-first century progressive techno-pop. TrancEnd defies the genre labels with their galvanizing auditory epicure of sultry vocals; ambient head-space environments; and surf-shimmer guitars - glued together with deep beats landing squarely in your chest compelling your body to sway and head to rock side-to-side.

TrancEnd’s debut album release, “Lilac,” brings the listener into the now moment with an awestruck delivery of soundscape and lyrical imagery. Their live performances are captivating - demanding your attention and immersing your senses in an unforgettable experience of color, shape, and sound.

TrancEnd brings their love for 90s Euro trip-hop while experimenting with constrained metal rudiments tempered by catchy pop-rhythms. They are a “must see” phenomenon that continues to amaze fans and impress venue managers.

“Are you experienced?” Have the “TrancEnd experience” and find out what thousands of fans are discovering about this new artist and how they capture the essence of what we all seek in sonic bliss.

Who is TrancEnd?

Brittany LeAnn - Vocals (song lyrics and melodies)
Evan Maurus - Guitar (song writer, arranger, co-producer)
Ian Maurus - Drums
Zachary Maurus - Guitar (audio engineer, co-producer, mixing and mastering, live show automation)

Backstory:

The band formed during the Covid Dark Ages in 2020 - a merciless time for performing musicians, but it did provide a focused space for song writing and collaboration. The Maurus brothers: Ian, Evan, and Zachary, originally from the Detroit area, were involved in death metal projects in Michigan, then moved to North Carolina in 2015, where they recorded a brilliant 10-track death metal album and an EP. They toured locally in North Carolina and surrounding states until 2018 when their vocalist departed. Although metal is still a passion for the Maurus brothers, they knew they may have to change musical direction to survive and appeal to a world-wide audience. Like water, creativity finds a path. They paused, and the great “inner-muse” took over.

Evan Maurus, the band’s lead guitarist and songwriter, having an eclectic taste for not only a plethora of Metal subgenres, but Prog, Trip-hop, Trance Lounge, and Electronica, decided to experiment with writing in the vein of some of his favorite and most influential artist in those genres. Artists like Portishead, Hooverphonic, Mono, Thievery Corporation, Massive Attack, Delirium, and other heavy-hitters of the 90s Trip-hop movement. Says Evan, “Hooverphonic and Portishead were the greatest influence and inspiration for the original instrumental tracks that later became the bedrock for TrancEnd’s debut release, ‘Lilac.’”

Once Evan had the pre-production of his instrumental works complete, about 20 tracks, the search began for a vocalist and co-writer. In the spring of 2020, Evan found singer Brittany LeAnn. Says Evan, “Brittany is an amazing vocalist and songwriter that seemed to be the jelly in the PB&J. She was writing lyrics and melodies about one song a week, and sometimes two.”

Everything came together almost effortlessly, and after the pre-production work was complete, the recording of the album began in the Maurus brother’s studio, “Maurus Audio.” This is where the magic happened and the TrancEnd original sound took shape. Zachary Maurus was the audio engineer and co-producer for the album. When he received the pre-production tracks from Evan, he was a little concerned about how to approach this genre of music. He explained, “As an audio engineer and producer for mostly death metal projects, I was a little apprehensive about how to mix Pop/Trip-hop/Trance music. I had to re-train my brain to stop myself from making the drums sound like guns and cannons.”

The scratchy drum loops and samples used traditionally in the Trip-hop sound were a part of the original pre-production tracks, but, during the recording of the album, Zachary wanted to experiment by putting live drums in the tracks. With the intention to tour and perform with live drums, the band replaced the scratch drums on the album. Ian Maurus then started learning the songs and cutting drum tracks. It transformed the sound of the pre-production intent giving it an edgy pop feel that the band felt set their sound apart from similar artists in the genre. What started as a Trip-hop project morphed into a Prog/Art-rock sound. When Brittany started cutting the vocal tracks, the harmonies and melodic imagery brought the “wow factor” to a new level of brilliance. When asked about how she writes her lyrics and melodies, Brittany said very candidly, “I channeled my soul - it just flows out.”

It was during the recording of “Lilac” that the band came up with the name “TrancEnd.” It was the perfect name for what seemed to be a transcendent experience for the band: Brittany had just moved across country stepping into a creative role in  the music; the Maurus brothers making the transition from death metal to Prog/Art-rock. The name TrancEnd is a play on the genre, Trip-hop/Trance Lounge. The album title, “Lilac” was chosen because it is the first word of the first song on the album, “Landing.” The lyric, “Lilac in the desert, shaded from the sun…,” inspired the album art (by Joon Lugo) - a desert scene with a lonely lilac tree in the foreground. Says Brittany, “It’s a metaphor for being in the perfect environment for growth yet constrained by living in a shadow.”

In December 2021, the band shot a self-produced music video to support the first song release, “Do Something.” Then, the moment of truth: three years after forming, TrancEnd released their 13-track debut album, “Lilac.” “Every track on the album is strong and could be considered the sleeper-album of the year,” says TrancEnd’s manager, Chris Maurus. “I had been in and out of the studio while the album was being mixed and thought, ‘OK, yeah - that sounds great,’ but when I got a copy of the master and sat down to listen to all 13 tracks, I was blown away. I knew right there they had something special - it plays like a concept album where every song flows together creating a mosaic of a larger picture - Lilac!”

TrancEnd has a vision to bring their signature sound to the world, share their joy with fans, and contribute to the collective good. Brittany explains, “We believe our music is a messenger - it creates a space where people can transcend their differences and unite within the sound…”

Seldom do I find a band that has it all; that is destined for greatness; that has that magic synergy. TrancEnd are a hypnotic mix of genre-bending Prog with strong signature traits consisting of a distinct vocal style, skilled musicianship; dynamic song structure; and a stellar production. A talented band with authentic chemistry and a sonic and visual identity that transcends the ordinary and pleases the senses." - JD, Closer to the Edge, Asheville FM

VANDERWOLF Continues Genre-Bending Journey With Electro-Infused Single “3/5ths in the Fire”

NEW SINGLE and VIDEO (directed by Alden Volney) RELEASED NOVEMBER 7, 2022 VIA PROPER.

As a follow-up to the widely-lauded LP, “12 Little Killers,” New York musician Max Vanderwolf will release the retro-futuristic single, “3/5ths in the Fire” 2022 via Proper. The song, which was recorded in Camberwell, London with producer Chris Wyles at the helm, has its origins in the raging rock excesses of Vanderwolf’s previous London band, Last Man Standing.

“This song was a staple in our set and was frequently played at festivals like Glastonbury, Lovebox and Bestival as well as clubs like 93 Feet East and Barfly. We recorded it much like we’d performed it but eventually I came around to the idea that I wanted to strip it down to its skeletal essence and re-dress it as something sonically anachronistic. Luckily, Chris immediately understood what I was going for…we listened to Vangelis’ ‘Bladerunner’ and Squarepusher’s ‘Hello Everything’ amongst other space-age references. We essentially reinvented the song.”

Listen to the single here: https://35sitfsingle.lnk.to/shseQJ

The only things remaining on this released version of the song is Vanderwolf call & response vocals which are split between a distressed sound and a vocoded voice.

Wyles explains, “All drums were replaced with samples and programmed - main beats held back until the 2nd verse with a view to making the 7/8 and 4/4 transitions as smooth as possible. So, the quarter-note accents on the hi-hat for instance are always shifting from on to offbeat. Bass was replaced with a combination of Moog and Oberheim. There were multiple patches dependent on the parts and sections and in places were reinforced with synth.”

Wyles programmed the chords and then arpeggio’d them with 2 different arpeggios using a synth combination but mostly an Oberheim SEM synth which brought up interesting things especially in the 7/8 sections. Synth pads were filtered to add movement and momentum.

“It was written in both 7/8 and 4/4 and the end section combines both,” adds Vanderwolf. “The whole thing was designed to ‘float’ along and despite the complexity.”

The lyrics by Vanderwolf point toward the degradation of human experience in which consensual reality becomes increasingly out of reach and thus one’s relationship to oneself in turn, also, disintegrates. “I must’ve written these words in 2016 before our current epoch of internet conspiracies, false narrative and the plague of technology that silos us became so prevalent. It was this kind of alienation I sought to capture in the song.”

As well as being a musician with a long and storied history - most notably as vocalist of the aforementioned cultish band, Last Man Standing, whose 2007 debut album “False Starts & Broken Promises” received plaudits from Mojo and Uncut among others - Max Vanderwolf has a hugely successful career as a music programmer and concert producer, working for some of the worlds’ most celebrated clubs and concert venues. These include New York’s legendary Knitting Factory and London’s internationally renowned Royal Festival Hall, where for 9 years he produced the Meltdown Festival working closely with David Bowie, Patti Smith, Jarvis Cocker, Massive Attack and Ornette Coleman.

In May 2022 Vanderwolf released the single, “When the Fire Grows Cold” which featured the legendary vocalist, Robert Wyatt. The sprawling psychedelic B-side, “Extinction” featured a “glissando” guitar solo from Daevid Allen.

In July 2022 Vanderwolf released the LP, “12 Little Killers” of which Mojo Magazine wrote, “There is a sophisticated musicality at play” and Rolling Stone France wrote, “The musician has concocted a rock record classic in form and devilishly accomplished in content.”

Vanderwolf will release his first album of songs recorded entirely in Los Angeles in March 2023.

Leading Figures Of Modern Electronic & Veteran Artists Rediscover & Revitalize The Music Of British Visionary ROBERT CALVERT!

Los Angeles, CA - Robert Calvert was one of the most charismatic and cutting-edge visionaries to emerge out of London's psych rock scene of the '60s & '70s, first as the frontman for the behemoth that is Hawkwind and later as a solo artist whose avant garde albums made him a highly influential art rock raconteur. And although mainstream recognition alluded Calvert during his career, a diverse and distinguished collection of nextgen artists along with several notable veterans are attempting to change that with a new remix project, called The Last Starfighter. The project features vintage Calvert tracks taken from both his solo albums as well as raw, unfinished demos, completely revamped by the likes of indie noise icons Xiu Xiu, chillwave group Small Black, post-punkers Soft Kill plus darkwave duos Xeno & Oaklander and Sixth June as well as veterans A Flock Of Seagulls and The Damned's Rat Scabies!

Xiu Xiu leader, Jamie Stewart, whose remix of “Marathon Man” is now available as a standalone single, shares this story about discovering Calvert’s music, “Around 2010 our tour manager, a continual fountain of musical exposure, introduced me to kosmische musik. Somehow I had gone my entire life before never having come across this world. During this tutelage, he professed one of his heroes, who is now also one of mine, to be Robert Calvert. We have listened to his forays into the beyond while driving across Europe in a van for years now. It was an incredible honor to be able to explore and touch one of his many masterpieces so thoroughly. I hope it was shown the love it deserves.”

The Last Starfighter will be available on both CD and gorgeous silver or purple vinyl in a gatefold jacket starting February 19 courtesy of Cleopatra Records!

EDDIE JOBSON

Classical prodigy and teen star — Award-winning film composer — “A musical genius” (Editor-in-chief of Emmy magazine) — Inductee in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame — World music and jazz record producer — Lecturer on The Art & Science of Music — Electronic music innovator — Electric-violin virtuoso — Award-winning pianist

With an international reputation as the definitive musicians' musician, British musician Eddie Jobson has been recognized as a musical genius since childhood. As a piano and violin prodigy, he was awarded a Diploma of Distinction by London's Royal Academy of Music at the age of 8, performing with his first professional orchestra at age 10. In 1971, at age 16, he was appointed as the Young Persons' Representative to the British Government's Arts Council and, the same year, performed his debut concert at the University of Newcastle—one of the first live concerts to feature the electronic music synthesizer. By age 17 he had acquired a worldwide record deal with Warner Bros. to record his first full album, playing violin, synthesizer and piano.

Transitioning away from classical music and still only 17, he became orchestrator for British singer Bryan Ferry, leading to Jobson becoming a full member of the influential art-rock group Roxy Music, contributing to their first number-one album as synthesist and groundbreaking electric-violinist. Eddie's proficiency in re-sculpting and professionalizing the Roxy sound played a major role in the band's success and their considerable influence on the likes of U2, The Talking Heads and many of the '80s new wave rock/pop groups. Jobson's early pioneering work as a teen, along with the other Roxy members, has resulted in his 2019 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, making Jobson the first rock violinist to be so honored.

Remaining in the rock and jazz world after Roxy, Eddie—still only 21—was “discovered” by American  music icon Frank Zappa and flown to Los Angeles to replace both jazz greats George Duke on keyboards and Jean-Luc Ponty on violin, in Zappa's only four-piece lineup. Returning to England in 1978 after several albums and world concert tours with Zappa, Jobson then formed the internationally acclaimed progressive-fusion band UK with jazz-guitar legend Allan Holdsworth, King Crimson vocalist John Wetton, and original Yes drummer Bill Bruford. The UK albums, along with his other  work with King Crimson, Yes, Jethro Tull and with members of Deep Purple and The Who, established Jobson not only as, arguably, the top rock violinist in the world, but also as one of the top keyboardists.

In the 1980s, Eddie put rock music and concert touring aside and focused on electronic music and the innovative world of computer music. He created the first music video to feature CGI, as well as the world's first album performed entirely on the Synclavier Music Computer. Featured in TIME magazine, this critically acclaimed album was one of the very first all-digital CD releases. The 1990s saw Jobson move into the world of television and film scoring—an award-winning side career that culminated in him becoming choral director for Disney on two major movies and the soundtrack composer on numerous films, TV shows and 3D theme-park experiences. Fascinated with all musical forms, he left the world of Hollywood in 2000 and formed a musicians' label called Globe Music as a vehicle for producing a diverse array of jazz and world-music artists. This period also saw Eddie working with the Tuvan throat singers, and composing for and conducting both the City of Prague Philharmonic and The Bulgarian Women's Choir, while also functioning as the choir's spokesperson at Harvard University and on multiple classical radio broadcasts.

An unexpected return to the concert stage in 2008, saw Jobson perform to a festival audience of more than 150,000 people in Kazan, Russia, leading to ten more years of world tours until his permanent retirement from live concerts in 2018. In 2017, Jobson received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Progressive Music Awards in London.

Five new double-CD releases are being planned to commemorate Jobson's almost fifty years as one of the world's most respected musicians. Eddie is also currently producing six video lectures on The Art and Science of Music.

Featured Track: Andrea Arpetti-Quite A Show

Andrea Arpetti is a musician, vocalist and music teacher. Straight away he sounds like one of those diverse multi tasking indie artists, and he most definitely is.

His new track is "Quite A Show." It is a combination of dance/electronica, complete with the thumping beats, which drives the track, and some acoustic guitar to give it another layer, and a nice touch I may add.

Andrea has a very clear vocal style that sounds like it could wrap itself around just about any track in a large cross section of genres. Not everyone is blessed with that kind of talent and capability. With his education and knowledge of music and all the talents at his disposal, I can envision a long and successful career with the right backing in place.

New Age/Ambient/Electronica Review: David Arkenstone-Colors of the Ambient Sky

Release Date: July 13, 2018
Label: Dream Palace Publishing / BMI

David Arkenstone is about to make the summer brighter with a new release in July titled Colors of the Ambient Sky. He is the author of an astounding 65 recordings!

David is primarily a keyboardist, plays the guitar, mandolin, flute, cello, percussion, and many other instruments. He utilizes all the tools of the music trade, including the computer to provide orchestrations that provide beauty and texture. On this album it is all David, there are no guest musicians. You soon realize what an amazing accomplishment this album is once you hear it for the first time.

If you look closely at the CD cover it is like lying on the ground looking up at the treetops and star-filled skies. The music fits well with the album cover. It takes you to a higher place of consciousness like the one beyond the treetops. What you hear is music that could easily be used for soundtrack or other media deliveries, but more importantly it gives you an outlet for relaxation. As the artist suggests, it is like dreaming with your eyes open.

I have been hearing much more of this type of ambient music lately and have thoroughly enjoyed it. As a matter of fact, it has prompted me to seek out other similar artists. Tracks like “Blue Lightning” reminded me of one of my favorite Tangerine Dream albums titled Le Parc. Colors of the Ambient Sky has pleasing spacey and relaxing ambient sounds with the hints of technology swirling around it. For me, there is just enough of all of that Colors of the Ambient Sky to keep me interested and quite satisfied.

I would expect Colors of the Ambient Sky to be one of the more popular releases of 2018 in the ambient and new age genres. I really appreciated the overall consistency and textures of the music from track to track. I was envisioning an artist painting with many different colors and taking the time to put them in the right place on the canvas to create another masterpiece. I felt like it was ear candy that was transformed in my mind’s eye into colors and images. For my musical tastes, this is the kind of experience I truly enjoy. I do not go into a listening experience with anticipation, it would ruin the birth of new thoughts and feelings it could possibly create. That is a good policy for any listener actually.

As the closing track “Ascension” brings the curtain to a close, you realize just how positive and uplifting a musical journey can bring. Your skies will be colored with a broad musical brush that will touch you in so many ways. That is all any listener could ask for.

San Francisco Music Producer & Graphic Artist UNKNOWN HERO to Release Debut Album IN MY HEAD, a Musical Space Odyssey Featuring a Diverse Cast of Characters

San Francisco, CA – UNKNOWN HERO is a musical creator on a mission. He combines his extensive musical talents, which include composition, production, keyboards, and voice, with his lifelong love of animation, heroes, and their stories to offer unique and inclusive musical and visual experiences. His debut album IN MY HEAD will be released in stores and online worldwide through his own label Unknown Hero Music on October 13, 2017.

Growing up a fan of comics, anime, film, and video games, UNKNOWN HERO was disturbed by widespread lack of broad representation. He was particularly dismayed that comic-lovers were offered almost no heroes of color to look up to. Using innovative combinations of music, visual imagery, and story, UNKNOWN HERO has set out to right this representational wrong. Inspired since childhood by comics and Japanese animation, and more recently by musical artists who connect music with animated characters (Gorillaz, Kanye West’s “Heartless” and 2NE1’s “I Hate You”), he creates musical and visual worlds that invite music and story lovers of all ages, genders, and hues to engage in visionary fantasy. With IN MY HEAD, UNKNOWN HERO offers fans the first glimpse of one such world, rich with possibilities for further development.

Each track on IN MY HEAD has a place in a dystopian drama unfolding in the year 2125 on the Planet Altarz, where Lord Kraven and the UNKNOWN HERO are moving toward a showdown. Years before, Lord Kraven abolished any practice or mention of music. But recently he has learned that a mysterious figure known only as the UNKNOWN HERO has been depositing strange music-generating devices around the city. A growing band of rebels are plotting ways to support his apparent mission: to give music back to the people. The cast of characters in this musical space odyssey include a middle-aged, newly rebellious DJ Go Ji; her son and conflicted Kraven-protector Ken Ji; a half-human, half-Altarian Bounty Hunter; and mystical warrior, secret songstress, and New Revolt member Z’oa.

IN MY HEAD is an electronic album that blends elements of Downtempo, Trap, Dubstep, Rock, Funk, R&B, and Hip-Hop. Its wide variety of tracks, many of which blur genre boundaries, offer fresh takes on familiar elements. In the soulful and compelling “Ask Me,” UNKNOWN HERO expertly intertwines Dubstep and Trap beats, horns, choral background textures, and chopped vocal samples, all behind lead vocals reminiscent of R&B, Pop, and Soul. On “Hero Beware,” he creates an up-tempo Dance track that is both relatable and new, weaving together layers of EDM/Techno and Trap beats, modulated Dubstep baselines, and choral vocal elements. IN MY HEAD also offers mood-suggestive instrumental tracks such as the Hip-Hop inspired “Hero’s Groove,” and the smooth, downtempo “Going for a Ride.” Also on the album are more traditional Pop or R&B influenced songs, such as the 808-heavy “Be Alright” and “Close My Door,” which features rich vocal harmonies and piano melodies. The album is sprinkled with UNKNOWN HERO’s signature soulful vocal samples.

Music, story elements, and characters from the planet Altarz are currently available at www.unknownheromusic.com, and UNKNOWN HERO will develop new musical, narrative, visual, and video content to be released over the coming year. Beyond Altarz, UNKNOWN HERO will continue to develop new music and stories, so fans can look forward to more dynamic, broadly representational, and engaging content for years to come.

UNKNOWN HERO has a long musical history and has collaborated with many great artists. Having grown up as his San Francisco neighborhood beat-maker (using Roland 626 and 505 drum machines with Casio and Korg keyboards, all mixed down on a Roland 4-track mixer), his music has always been a creative outlet. Over the years, he has created tracks and back beats for countless rappers, vocalists, and burgeoning music makers. He collaborated with producer/engineer Dave Beigel, and later continued independently, professionally producing music for a wide range of independent local artists who were looking for alternatives to large, commercial studios. Recently he produced Bay Area Artist Reform and has provided music for other artists, including the highly-esteemed avant-garde choreographer Erika Chong Shuch.

As a young rapper and beat maker, UNKNOWN HERO performed around the Bay Area, including at San Francisco’s iconic DNA Lounge. While performing with Dave Biegel, he was spotted and recruited to join the group Mystery Tramps, with whom he worked on a remix of Bob Dylan’s “Like a Rolling Stone,” currently available through Hot Trax. Inspired by iconic vocalists like Seal, Michael Jackson, and Stevie Wonder, UNKNOWN HERO began to explore and develop his expertise weaving together rich vocals with instrumental melodies, expanding from beat-maker to songwriter, and developing the signature elements that continue to be a through-line amongst his eclectic catalog. More recently, UNKNOWN HERO teamed up with the late Dwayne Calizo, a local legend, vocalist, and vocal coach, to develop his range and expand his vocal repertoire.

Featured Stream: Brielle Von Hugel feat. B.o.B - Stronger (Exodus x Sweet & Sour Remix)

Brielle Von Hugel has a new single we are streaming. The "Stronger (Exodus x Sweet & Sour Remix)" track features the rapper B.o.B. I have never been a fan of rap however I can appreciate the difficulty and pace that you have to keep up with sing that way. I certainly could not do it, I would loose my breath and turn blue! It is an art form no doubt and it has many admirers. To be honest I liked what was presented here and thought it worked well.

Brielle has a powerful and emotional touch to the vocals she delivers. Her style and flair are a perfect match for the music, which is a mixture of pop, dance and electronica. She steps aside to let the pro B.o.B. handle the rap duties which he does with ease.

Check out the stream and the video of what inspired Brielle to sing this song. You will be able to understand the emotion and purpose that drives this track once you watch her video.

New Age-Classical-Electronica Review: Anaya Music With Live Symphony Orchestra-Eternity

Release Date: August 19, 2016
Label: Anaya Music
Anaya Music and the latest release titled Eternity is all about collaboration. Anaya Music is Anaya, Tania Mara Botelho, Steve Salani and members of the Prague Symphony Orchestra.

I am one of the first to admit you cannot match the experience of being at a concert as to sitting and listening to CD. There are instances in my listening experiences inside the confines of my home that have elevated my spirit and given me positive energy and hope. Eternity turns out to be one of those instances. The parts from the orchestra are live however, so we get the best of both worlds. This is where technology and live off the floor music collide to explode into sights and sounds that will stir your soul.

What I found interesting was how the use of technology made this project come together. Over the oceans these artists added their parts and eventually it became a whole. With the help of many talented people and the sum of its parts scattered about the globe coming together through the advances of communication and modern recording, this became a musical entity. It truly is amazing how all of that works. It is even more of a celebration when it all meets to make the most beautiful and picturesque sounds and colors arriving through your speakers.

Anaya ends the liner notes by saying “Our best instrument is the universal harmony of being.” That one thought and the vibrations it creates is the perfect lead in to this cinematic recording. The soundscapes shaped and molded are things of beauty and grace that can take your spirit to a higher plain. I do believe that is the intent of music like this. Enlightened spirits leading others down the path of light and love…it works well if you allow the music to transport you as the pressures of the world melt away.

The entire listening experience was so enjoyable and uplifting that I felt disappointed that it ended and it seemed to end much too soon.  From where I sit that is the highest compliment I can pay to any artist.

Eternity is a blessing to all that will hear it so make sure you give it a few spins and find what I found inside the music.

4.5/5 Stars
